Vika would be proud. I collected the groceries at 7:45. Woohoo. A beer does taste good this early when it is a celebration beer. Now, I might have to take in a college baseball game. I hope everyone has as great of a weekend as mine is turning into. Oh yeah. Sending some good karma to VSC.

Wow. This thread is so lacking a pulse. Let's go people. I know that VSC has slowed down some in the past two weeks, but who knows, they might have a good week. There are plenty of January filers getting NOA2's now, in the next week or two it might be some of the February filers. Who is going to start dancing. Personally I am pulling for Tom. Yes, it is good that y'all are being patient, but liven up a little. I am at the end of the month so I would be happy with a May approval, but the rest of you. I know Tom has his brass stripper pole mounted in his living room so he can do some real dirty dancing. Sorry buddy, your secret is out. It is like no one is anticipating being with their loved one. Enough ranting on y'all. I will now rant on VSC. Really, this is the best you can do. I challenge VSC to step their game up. Every approval ahead of me, puts me one closer. I have Vika getting her police report and other documents ready for Kyiv. I can not wait for her to get here and be able to spend at least part of the summer here. Personally, if y'all are that patient, I will slip ahead of you if you don't mind. Just kidding, but let's see some life.

On a lighter note, how is everyone's week going? Mine is great except for the check I have to scratch out and send to the goverment tomorrow. I refuse to let them get me down, but I don't like it. Yesterday, I went bass fishing with a customer in South Carolina in a big pond. Three of us caught over 80 bass in the morning. Not many big ones, but steady. Good times. Then he gave me his usual order. That was nice. Now, I need to get a couple of orders today.

Is it wrong that I told Vika that it is USCIS immigration law that she attends health club a minimum of 4 times a week? HA HA! That might get someone to wake up and at least post something. Something like I am a chauvenist, I am wrong, I am a pig, or what a great idea. Let it rip folks. Good times are coming soon.

Okay so maybe not many are replying because they are like us..... My mom usually reads the boards and lets me in on the big news, as I am working my tail off to try to save $ to go travel when it is time for the embassy appointment.

With my low income, (needing a co-sponsor for the whole financial thing) I sure don't have a lot of free time so maybe others are just keeping busy like me to keep from thinking too much. NOT that I don't think about him 24/7, not that I don't get horribly lonely and miss my fiance beyond description, I just try not to think about how long it's been since I've seen him in person (thank GOD for Skype).

I also try not to think of how much longer it MIGHT be before I see him in person again. So I go to class (still in college), go to work, take care of my appointments and keep trying to find a better paying job with better hours so I *can* talk to him more often on Skype, etc.

I'm glad this forum is here, if only for my mom. She says she would drive me nuts if there wasn't enough to read here on what others are going through, how to do the forms and how to get everything ready.

We've reached a point where we really *can't* gather any more papers or get anything else physical done until we get NOA2 so I guess it's reached a "quiet place of waiting". Trust me though, we are watching Igor's list and boy will we be doing the happy dance when ANYONE gets their NOA2 from VSC.

Blessings to all of you as you wait, even if you are even more quiet than I am. :innocent:

Another thought….

One way to think of our wait (you think of yours however you want, this is just my thinking) is to remember that idea (concept, statistic, whatever you want to call it) of the VJ members only being 5% of the total applicants for the visa.

If I think of that, I can remember that there are about 420 people ahead of me in line just for February. (Ours is about #21 on the February list so I calculate 21 times 20 to get the total number who could easily be ahead of me in line just for February 2010 filers.) Don’t even get me started on the 59 who are not yet listed as getting their NOA2 for January 2010 filers! (Ignore this whole paragraph if the number ahead of you makes you crazy, please!) It makes me only a little less impatient than I could be if I thought that VJ members were 100% of the filers. Imagine how crazy we’d be if that was the case!

NO, this technique does not make me a happier camper. I still wish they’d find a way to expedite **all** the applications ahead of ours so we would be “NEXT”. But it does make me realize that there might be a few folks who got in line before me. Probably makes you more stressed to think of it that way but it’s all I’ve got to hold onto today. It’s been 3 days since I’ve “seen” my fiancé since he works a different shift than I do. BOY am I looking forward to his day off so I might get a chance to see him and talk to him again “in live time”. :crying:

When I am not having a pity party (which happens more frequently since Feb 11, the date our application was mailed) this will *sometimes* make me more patient. Not often, but sometimes.

I just wonder about those folks who applied back in 2009 whose info was not updated on Igor’s list. Mystery can keep me entertained, too. LOL…… did they give up the pursuit of a Visa and move to their fiance’s country? Did they get their approval and pass out, revive and run off to the embassy to the interview so they could get that Visa faster, never to remember to come back and update the stats? (more likely I’m thinking) I’m relatively sure they did not die from a broken heart because it took them longer to get their approval. At least that’s the story I tell myself when I am missing him, No One dies from a broken heart because they had to wait another month (or 2 or 3 or…. ).

Hope we are all doing that happy dance VERY soon!

Come on, VSC, give us some ray of sunshine or hope!! Maybe with Spring break being over now, we’ll see some action soon!

:star:

Ya know I think I want your job instead of mine. You might have to get up early like me but at least you get to go fishing! LOL..... don't think you'll trade the bakery & donut business for yours, though.

Wow, there is a pulse. Let's keep it up. Things are about to change for us here. People travelling for inerviews, griping about the high cost of airfare in the summer, trying to track applications from NVC to consulate, interview dates, medicals. We have a lot headaches coming up. Sooner the better. Nice to see some people alive here.

Does anyone know where I can find a book on cleaning wild game in Russian. Vika will need it. I know, that is so wrong.

No, I will not trade my job with anyone. I get to spend 3 months a year in Ukraine, I hunt, fish, and get to drink beer with my customers on the company credit card. I'll keep it for now. I will let you know if I decide to give it up. LOL. I do actually work some.

Let's see some dancing soon.

Airfares jump for Ukraine as much as $600 during the summer. I see it every year. I am sure a lot of destinations are the same.

Also, we will probably get bent over and have to pay the new higher visa fee of $350. It will be my luck. It will probably change the week of the interview. Who knows, the goverment might drag their feet on this one and I luck out.

Tom, where did you get that brass pole, or should I ask? You might want to disinfect it.

talking about airfares.

pls where can I find cheap ticket to Amsterdam, Holland. I see ticket around $1400-$1600. Which is not possible because it is similar to fares to Nigeria.

Anyone know about how or where I can get cheap ticket for July travelling?

taking my mind off VSC for a while :bonk::bonk:

I'm feeling the airfare as well. Flying to her has never been inexpensive, but prices are jumping 50-60%.

The sites I routinely use for airfare is http://www.kayak.com (and let it open separate windows for vayama and others)

I've checked other sites, but kayak usually comes up with the best prices so far, and is nice in it allows some flexibility on departure and return dates.

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

NOA1: Feb 22

NOA2: May 17 (84 days, no touches, both SMS and email notice received a day later)

Received at Embassy: May 26

Packet 3 received: June 1

Packet 3 returned: June 2

Packet 4 received: June 16 (emailed appointment date June 11)

interview: July 19th (Warsaw - APPROVED!!!)
