So, after 7 long months. USCIS misplacing our case under a pile, then daring to ask for an RFE for something they already had, getting our conresswoman involved, them playing with our case daily for the past week and a half or so, we are finally........

APPROVED!!!!

Now to the next long steps of packet 3 when she gets it, and all the fun land of Montreal and that waiting game!

At least we are moving on finally though!

What an awful waiting game that was! Wow...when Paul called me at work today to inform me of the approval, I was in shock! I couldn't believe it! lol We had been waiting for so long. The 'not knowing' is a nightmare! A HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I hope the next part of this will go by fast! I think it will

Paul and Vanessa, I'm happy for y'all. About darn time. You did it without invoking the donkey and midget. Me, Lohninck, Solmarc, UK, Leslie, and others invoked them to scare the heck out of VSC, NVC, and our consulates. You might want to borrow them and send them to Montreal until your visa is approved.LOL. Last I saw them they were in Jersey, pissed that Veka drank all the vodka at Lohninck's house.

UK, for professional reasons, me and Veka have decided for her to keep her last name. It has to do with her degrees and such. Just easier we thought in future for her to keep it that way. Plus, my German sounding last name is very difficult to say in Russian for when she goes back to visit. She plans on two months every summer. It is hard for her to say it and she speaks great English. Seriously, the AOS paperwork was a breeze to fill out. Yes, the US goverment does like to bend one over and extract money from us. If I had to figure out the cost of me finally being married to Veka, I would probably kill myself. 13 trips to Ukraine, one to Dominican Republic, lost time from work, apartments, etc. Another check know for the AOS is nothing.

UK and Leslie, seriously, let's get back to box play, stripper poles, lingerie, and debauchery. That is who we are. Just kidding.

Congratulations Paul & Vanessa. I have watched your timeline from the beginning, as you submitted 3 weeks before us, and my fiance is also in Texas. Im glad that part is over, the next isnt much fun either though. I interview next week >.<

Beautiful jewelry, UK! I'll more than likely pick up a piece or two as the winter weather comes around. I can afford it now that I have a job interview on Monday, woooooo hoo! Just retail, working at Toys R Us for the holiday season and possibly longer, but that's better than nothing. Granted, I've only been unemployed for 5 days, but I hate feeling like I'm not doing anything.

So who's still waiting on interviews and everything, apart from Paul and Vanessa? Is this Feb ship sailing to the AOS Island soon? We need to start a thread there just for us. They won't even know what hit em.

Thought all our troubles went away when they said approved, but apparently I was mistaken. It has been 9 days since we were approved & still no visa. I am starting to freak out. Everyone else who was interviewed the same day has received their visa already. So, where's mine????

Oh, geez. Nothing worth doing is ever easy. It should come.. have you tried calling? Have there been any holidays lately? Maybe you got caught in between too many weekends or holidays or something.. just trying to figure it out, because that's some b/s.
