Thanks for that.

It seems a bit odd on the info there, once I change it to VSC, so basically it looks like a canned timeline query. Now, if it would stop showing 2009 people. :D

Yeah, in between long calls with T, work, trying to plan our next visit, making the house a *bit* less, uhh, bachelor-manly...somehow I have to make more time to obsess here, and checking movement on other Feb filers at VSC. :P And I probably will, too. :D

So to be touched means "last date case was updated"???

I hve checked my process and there was only one date which was 02/25/2010..

Do I need to look anywhere else for a touch?

Yeah..Yeahh..Yeahh..I know this sounds funny..but I swear I am serious!...lol

When the date changes on your USCIS page... you've been "touched". It's that simple. (We all hope it means someone is working on our file, but it can mean nothing at all!)

Hey Feb filers, a late Jan/might as well be Feb filer checking in here. The January threads are usually dead for some reason or another, so just jumping in to say hi and try to stir up some more life in this forum. This wait is hell, my case hasn't had a touch since the 02/03.. I came home a little tipsy one night and clicked on my case and thought it said Last Updated 03/02 and got excited for no reason until my vision returned to me. I've limited my addiction to checking once in the morning and once after 5 PM.. but we'll see how long I can be good. ;)

Can't believe it's April already. Every day without the NOA2 is one more day of stress, but there's good days and bad days. Seeing plenty of people being approved in a day is uplifting as hell. I hope they keep up whatever inspiration they had a few weeks ago where they were approving December/January filers left and right and move it onto late Jan/early Feb filers asap. Maybe if we all ask nicely at once?

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Hey, if asking nicely will help, I'm in. :)

As it stands now, I'm trying to juggle an upcoming visit for 30+ days, while trying to figure out when it's most likely we'll get NOA2 and an interview date, with rising airfare costs and a country that won't allow a multiple entry, > 30 day Visa (for me). I'm thinking that part is nearly hopeless to get right, but it's going to be amusing to work if I'm gone for a while, come back, and then a week or so later am going back overseas to hopefully attend her interview and bring her home.

This is the first time in a long while that I wished for a moment I lived on the left coast again.. :innocent:

aww S and T, that's pretty crummy that you can't stay longer then 30 days.

i'm grateful i'm from canada. joey drove 8hrs to come pick me up, we drove 8hrs back together. now i'm camping out at his house for the duration until our NOA2 comes up. it's made the wait far more bearable then had i'd stayed at my parents place in ontario. it was hard enough to leave him after our visit in january. so admittedly, i feel spoiled compared to some of our group. having to wait, separated and stuff. in truth i feel horrible but very lucky.

i've heard they've started the february petitions. so gonna keep my fingers crossed for everyone in our tiny group that they really start to hammer them out.

there's also rumours flying around in the US that the govt is trying to pass a bill to abolish the borders in north america. meaning citizens of Canada and Mexico can move to the US legitimately. anyone doing a north american move heard about this??

I ditto that. While the NA borders are pretty open at the moment, the tightening of the travel requirments lately (i.e. need a passport to travel) speaks for itself.

There's a no way our sovereign nation will allow immigration without paperwork.

Слава Україні!

The US would never open it's borders to that extent. It simply wouldn't happen.

Yeah, I'd love it if things were easier, visa-wise...she would be here now. I just got back from a month there, but it's not the same. Between Visa and flights, each trip right now has just a transportation cost of nearly $2k - not the end of the world, but difficult to do without some planning consistently, as those aren't the only expenses involved. The Visa restrictions are slowly driving us nuts - ironically, she has had Visas to the US before as well, but right now it's unlikely she would get a Tourist visa. It now turns out I can get a special visa for > 30 days, but it can't be multiple entry, which can be amusing in a bizarre way - depending on timing of our next visit, I'll probably be going for 45-60 days, but now am hesitant to go before NOA2, just in case an RFE comes in - I don't want it to delay us. But, if I go after NOA2, it's highly possible that her interview comes while I'm there, which I then won't be able to attend, as I won't have a multiple entry Visa. Arggh! I'm not entirely sure what we're going to do there yet. I could think about just leaving the country if her interview comes while I'm there, but with the current price of plane tickets and exchange policies, we'd then be buying a new pair of tickets.

Not so many decisions to make here, just frustration, really. We're going to need some extra cash on hand once she's home, otherwise I would just go for May, come back, then go back with a < 30 days but multiple entry Visa once we knew her interview date. I may yet just try to find a way to do that.
