I'm looking over the I-485 and there is a question on part 3 that ask for nonimmigrant visa number, where do I find this? I am looking at the visa and there is a control #, an eight digit number in red and than another really long alpha-numeric # at the bottom, which one is it? I would appreciate any help.

hi, the visa number is the one in red color ... the alpha-numeric is the one they called A# (or alien registration number)

The red colour number at bottom right side of your visa on your passport is visa number.

6.2.1)...(newsgroup)...I-485 - Adjustment of status.... I am asked for my Nonimmigrant visa number, is this the one under the control number or is it the one at the bottom of the visa ??

A..(newsgroup)...On the adjustment of status forms, there is a box for the visa number. This is the red number printed on the K-1, not the visa control number. I know this because the interviewer went over the forms in front of us, and crossed out what I wrote in there (the visa control number) and replaced it with the red number.(Note: this is on the lower right side, under the "expiry date". It is not the long number written along the bottom edge of the visa.)
