Houston AOS Interview

We had our interview yesterday. We arrived at 7.45 for 8.30 interview. At 8oclock, she called my wife`s name name but I was in the restroom so she called the next person (he was in the restroom as well) At 8.30 the lady called us for the interview. She asked us to wait in a different office. Then around 8.45, she took us to her office. After 15 minutes of interview she approved the case and stamped my wifes passport and said that the green card will arrive in one or two weeks. We were done by 9am.

Few things she asked. Any evidence of us living together. I showed my medical insurance papers and my bank statements. She returned the I693A form back to us. After stamping the passport, she explained the conditional resisdence for two years and the citizenship process. She kept the EAD and I-94.

The interview process was very easy. She spent more time complaining about the poor customer service at bank of america, after looking at my bank statements, then on looking at anything else.

Dont sweat about the interview. It is very simple if the papers are right. Total time from filing I-130 for spouse to Green card stamp in passport is exactly one year.
