Shouldn't have to much of an effect. (from what I have seen on timelines).

If your going through Haiti - that would slow you down - a lot.

There also was a rush on the phone lines to USCIS - but they added hours to meet demand.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Press release stated that CSC would be handling TPS petitions for Haiti so VSC processing should not be impacted.

That is also what they said about priority processing for Iraqi and Afghani visas. I seem to recall some ripple effect from that. Hope not though.

I doubt it will make any difference. There are four service centers, only two handle I-129f's. I am personal acquaintances with one of the departement directors of the VSC and Alla is friends with his wife, a Russian woman, who is also an adjudicator there. He hasn't mentioned it and I haven't thought to ask. I can email him and ask. I would doubt it.

More likely to affect your processing at VSC is the habit of the center going from focusing on one type of visa to another. From Sept 26 until about November they were doing nothing but I-129Fs and popping out NOA2s in under 30 days!!!!!!! Now they have moved on to other visas and the I-129Fs just trickle out. They seem to do things in a "batch system" though I have been told it was because of other factors and they were "catching up" and trying to get away from that.

The problem being that the service centers routinely ship overload to other centers. All the Haitian requests may go to CSC and CSC may send a few thousand I-129Fs over to Vermont. So while it will be absolutely TRUE that Vermont is not handling the Haitian requests, it could impact them. Not saying it will, but it could.
