Question for Jamaica medical exam. My husband is 27 and has received immunizations, but doesnt have any records of it due to records being lost during hurricane Dean. Is it safe to say he should go ahead and just get immunizations now while we wait for the NVC process to go forward, that way he can show his immunization record or should he just plan on getting re-vaccinated during his medical appointment? Does anyone have any tips about this?

You don't want to wait until your medical because it is going to cause you and him alot of money. What he can do is try to go to the clinic that he receive his immun. as a child and see if they have it on file. If they have it on file they will just write up a new card with the old info or he can go to a clinic or a dr. office and explain to them that he will be traveling and he can't find his immun. card. My fiance just went through the same thing. His mom lost his immun. card but he was able to go to the clinic where he got his shots from he was a child and they were able to write up the old info on a new card he also got the rest of his shot at a private dr office and it was way cheaper to do it there . I beleive at the embassy medical place it is $5000 per shot so if your husband need 6 or 7 shots it will round about 30,000 to 35,000.

I agree....get them now at the clinic. Save yourself a bunch of money.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Thats what Im pressing Troy to do... he seems to think he will just get them at the medical exam. So far, this process is pricey enuff! Im already fuming that they dont have same day service for police records. Drive to Kingston twice from Westmorland is a headache and costly!
