I am curious for some ideas on what to buy a Canadian man for Valentine's Day. I want to get my fiance' something special but I really am at a loss. Any ideas or suggestions or what to avoid buying for this important man?

I never know what to give...but this year I'm "giving" him a full body massage.

My hands will prob be numb when I'm done, but that's Love, haha.

Last year I got my husband 2 pounds of Hershey's Kisses delivered to his job. The little white papers in the candies all said 'I love you'. This year, I am sending him chocolate dipped strawberries - arranged like a dozen roses in a florist box - from Edible Bouquets. They have all kinds of bouquets all made from fruit.

The first Valentines for me and Tim, I gave him something that speaks loudly of our relationship, and the thing that we had in common that brought us together. Ice cream spoons. I found them in a kitchen store in my home town. It's a long story, but ice cream has a major thread in our getting to know each other, and how our relationship developed.

The ice cream spoons are small than a dinner spoon, and are flat at the end so you can scrape the bowl better. Go figure; tried to find a picture but I couldn't :lol:

I also added those fun type straws shaped as a heart...:blush:

Maybe you can find something that will be token of your relationship, like something to do with a trip you had together that was memorable.

Aww I'm about to go shopping with my best friend too for a v-day gift for our men! No idea what to get yet; although chocolates are never a bad thing ;)

He would joke though that i would eat them all before he got one, haha.

TBH i think i might buy him something like a sweater or socks or something he just wont do on his own. Dunno I guess something meaningful, and usually guys do drop hints what they want; like oh i need this etc. Has he expressed anything to you about anything?

beer!!!! Never go wrong with beer.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
