hello All,

I am filling out i-864A form helping my dad (Petioner) to meet his poverty guideline. The question I have is: with my income alone, it meets poverty guideline. Do I really need to list his little income (about $140/monthly) that he earns thru my mom's retirement on his i-864 form or I can just leave it out. The reason I bring up this question because if I can leave his income out, he doesn't have extra document to send to NVC as proof of income. And if I don't list his current income on his I-864, does he still need to provide tax return for the last (3) years?

Thank you in inadvance for your help!

Hank

if you meet the poverty line, you wouldnt need to submit other type of income, but it would be good to include additional income, that way you dont apply with meeting the bare minimum. good luck

Thank you for your help Tsx2010 & Trailmix. I am going to leave my dad's income at 0.00. I called NVC this afternoon and the Rep told me if those incomes are not taxable income, I can't list them. and I believe both of his little income from retirement & workcomp are not taxable. The require income to meet 125% poverty guideline on this case is about $51K and my current income is about $73K, so I think we'll be ok.

Thank again for your help!

Hank
