I know we have had this discussion before but I just read this article on Toronto Star online. I found the article and comments more interesting than the youtube video.

There was a thread about this issue a few months back. If I remember correctly the general consensus was that there are a lot of pros and cons when comparing it to the jug system, but most seemed to prefer the bag.

Lol...I should have shown the instructional video to my American husband...before I gave him a bag of Canadian bagged milk and jug to take home with him..Poor guy...poured the milk into the Canadian milk jug....And spilled all the milk instead...:lol:

That was back in our old dating days though...But yeah, those bags and jugs should come with instructions for non-Canadians!

And to this day...we still have the jug.....

And often find ourselves joking about Canadian milk bags....lol...

I admit, I love bagged milk.....And oh I miss it much..... :crying:

In fact, the last time I was in Canada...I took a few photos of bagged milk at a "reminder"....lol......

I hate those American gallon jugs...I swear...one can break their arms on one of those!

As well..those plastic jugs sure take up a lot of space in the fridge! And are sure harder to unthaw on a cold day!

Lol...Maybe I should stock up on milk, the next time I cross over to Canada....

Interestingly enough, milk is more expensive in Canada.....but it is packaged better....

$4 for 4 litres/1 gallon....vs....$2 for 1 gallon/4 litres.....lol...oh yeah..a difference there....

Heck, milk is even more expensive than gas at times!

Ok...plastic jugs aside...I choose to have my American milk in quart-sized cartons....

Though it can be quite challengning to find 7 quarts all at the same time....(that's another story)

How do you like your milk.....

I miss milk in a bag - it was fresher since I only opened 1 bag at a time and not the whole gallon. If you left the container with the bag on the counter oh well, you had other bags in the fridge...but if you leave the gallon on the counter,,,it's ALL gone :( The kids do that on occasion
