Wow, I'm sorry K.A. :(

I can imagine how much that must suck!

But, maybe they are picking out random applications for this "additional rpocessing" and it's not an uncommon thing? No other advice from me sorry.

It's great you get to see your man soon though!!!

Keep the hopes up. Maybe the rest of the application will go very smooth for you.

Our case has apparently been touched on the 28th, 3 days after the NOA1 notice date.

Probably just been moved around. ^^

NOA1, yeah!

Teya, looks like our dates are similar and both going through California Service Center, so let's keep in touch for date tracking comparisons...

KristiAnn, I can imagine how frustrating that delay and lack of info must be. Makes no sense. My husband is from Turkey and I am expecting delays, etc, with it being a primarily muslim country, bordering Iraq and Syria, etc. But from Canada? Your case sounds so straight forward, must be random selection process. Hopefully smooth sailing after this, but I feel for you!

My husband's middle name did not appear on the NOA1 and it says to call immediately if any errors, and I was so careful to put his middle name on each and every document. The phone call to USCIC was not reassuring as they could not tell me if the missing middle name was an error or not and asked me how I wanted the name to appear? They ended up sending a message to CSC that there is a typographical error and middle name should appear. Who knows if that will delay things or end up putting our file in some stack for an extra month? It is just seems like such a beurocratic system with no control.

Good luck to everyone!

Hey Karen,

I had the same problem with my NOA1...they forgot to put names for both my husband and I. I called and the guy I had talked to said it was fixed and that it would take 45 days to get a NOA1 amended notice. I asked my friend about it and she said it won't slow the process because it isn't an RFE. I sure hope she is right. You should come over to the March 2010 Filers, since out petition is being processed since then and not February. Good luck to you.

Good luck to everyone else as well.

I hope you get your NOA1 soon KristiAnn.

We filed Feb. 17th and got NOA1 on March 1st. Although, we are wondering why a petition from Texas filed at the Chicago lockbox would end up at the California service center. If anybody knows, it would be nice to stop wondering :)

B&J I think I read somewhere that CSC hired more people and are generally faster in processing.

No guarantee on this though. ^^

I just realized we are going to get an RFE because we submitted my husband's abstract birth certificate.

Neither of us knew there even was a "full" version of this and everytime I google US birth certificate, the main results are Obama's BC. Ugh...

I'd rather think that it will take the 5 months and then if it does, I will be better suited for waiting. If it doesn't take that long, I will be happily surprised. (All the while being prepared for NVC... of course.) Not to be a negative nancy or anything but there are people from November who still don't have NOA 2's. Here's to hoping though.
