That would work fine, or even To Whom It May Concern.

We didn't do a cover letter for the AOS process and there wasn't a problem.

It isn't absolutely necessary.

Looks like the right heading to me. We did a very, very thorough cover letter and listed EVERYTHING we sent to them. Got our AOS approval without an interview. Don't know if the cover letter worked or not, but something did. I would be interested to know why some applications are approved without an interview and others are not. I wonder what the criterion is?

Doesn't matter because the cover letter is not a requirement or even asked for by USCIS as far as I know. Address it to your Uncle Bob if you like, I doubt they actually look at it.

It is not required, but I believe they do look at it. Makes your petition more organized, and nothing makes the governement workers more happy. But that is your choice... you can, but you don't have to.

Btw Bruce, I wonder that myslef too  , anybody?

For the record, I did do a cover letter. Mainly for myself though so I could use it as a checklist as everything went in the packet. I did include and sign it, and may have addressed it to "Immigration Officer Bob" (I don't remember).

Simone,

To whom are you sending it?

Immaterial really - it's likely to be tossed in the sorting room when the submission is taken out of the mailing envelope and put into a file.

Thanks,

dr_lha,

I did the same, for the same reason.

And I agree with your other post as well - no immigration officer is likely to see it, it'll be tossed by the contract workers in the sorting room.
