Hello Everyone,

Just finished the Interview of my son about CRBA in USEmbassy...I can't believed that they asking for DNA test for additional evidence. :( to prove that my son is a legally child of my husband,,grrr seems documents is not enough for them to prove that.

Anyway were given 90 days to comply,..Is there anyone there know how much does it cost for DNA test? I read from AABB that collection fee is 1,500pesos paid in St. Lukes hospital in Manila..is it right that we going to pay that amount only?some said it cost $500-$700 :crying:

When it came to pay out of pocket expenses for that I-693 form, I called every USCIS doctor in a 450 radius to get quotes. Had two people, quotes ranged from 350 to over 3,600 bucks per person, all for the same exam and to fill out that form.

Point is, call around and don't be afraid to ask for quotes.

not when you're going through consular processing. st. luke's fee for PHP1500 sounds about right. yes, a bargain compared to what DNA testing costs in the U.S. although the actual testing is still done in the U.S.

Should have gone to the Phillipines for our I-693, you are looking at about 30 bucks for a DNA test. Around here, that is about a tankful of gas, if you are driving a sub-compact car.

Really can't blame the USCIS for checking that everything is up and up, but certainly can wonder why if a unmarried couple sneaks into this country, has a baby and that baby is automatically a USC. Even though the parents are still here illegally.

Just curious, perhaps nosy is a better word, is your husband planning on bringing you and your baby here?

Friend of mine brought his pregnant fiancee over a few years ago. Had a DNA test when the kid was 2 years old. Guess what? They are divorced.

I hear all kinds of weird stories, I imagine that this could happen more often than we think it does. I wonder, if she honestly thought it was his, could she be deported?

She already had her 10 year GC. They divorced and she remarried a pinoy here. I imagine dhe has her USC by now.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
