I am currently on F1 (started in Sept 09). I married a US Citizen in Dec 09 and Filed for I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 all together.

My USCIS 'Received' date is 12/18/2009 and 'Notice' date is 12/23/2009.

I completed my Biometrics on 01/19/2010.

I received an RFE (related to I-485) dated 01/13/2010, which I received in mail on 01/20/2010.

The RFE said 'Submit a properly completed and Signed Form I-693.... (Rev. 06/05/08 or later)...'.

I had actually included form I-693 of the said revision in my concurrent filing package. The form was dated by my doctor on 12/09/2009.

I don't know why the included form was rejected. There was no explanation regarding that in the RFE.

I replied to the RFE with a new I-693 completed by the same doctor with the latest revision (Rev 10/14/2009).

This new form was signed by my my doctor on 01/20/2010. I mailed it to USCIS on 01/21/2010, they received it on 01/25/2010.

My case status was updated on 01/28/2010 indicating that the RFE response was received and the case processing has resumed.

There is no change in any of the case status since then.

As per the instruction of I-693 rev 06/05/08 was acceptable for medical exams conducted between Nov 01 2009 and Dec 31 2009. So I was confused as why i got the RFE related to I-693. I guess, even though I submitted the right rev before Dec 31,2009, the actual processing/data entry might have happened after 01/01/2010, and hence it might have rejected the old Rev. But who knows, may be they misplaced the the form I sent it to them.

Did anyone received similar I-693 RFEs?

Did they send the form back to you? Did you go over it to make sure it was "properly completed" ? I had a problem with mine, no RFE but at the interview the IO had us take the form back to the doctor to complete properly, the TB part, even though the reaction was nothing, he still had to write 0mm in the "size of reaction" part. It could be a small ommission such as that perhaps?

No, we did not get the original form back with the RFE. The RFE was just a single page standard letter asking to submit 'properly completed' I-693.

Yes, I and the doctor checked original form. We could not identify anything that was not properly completed. Everything seem to be marked correctly. The doctor is well know for completing this form and has done it may times before. We thought may be it was due to revision change, so I sent a new Rev of the form on 01/20/2010.

Since the USCIS status update on 01/28/2010 indicating the receipt of RFE response, there is not additional status updates on any of the cases (no soft or hard updates) or no new RFEs.

So I am not sure what was wrong in the original I-693 we submitted and not sure if the new one we submitted is accepted or not.

Just waiting to see updates!

Maybe they just misplaced it... it was in a sealed envelope, right?
