My fiance and I are a bit confused on how to schedule the interview. We've try to track the approved I-129F from NVC going to USEM and USEM just confirmed today that they received it on January 28, 2010 through email.

Some excerpt from the email I received is below:

This is in reply to your inquiry regarding the (K1) nonimmigrant visa case of the referenced individual.

We received the U.S. Immigration service – approved Form I-129F (K3) nonimmigrant visa petition from the State Department’s National Visa Center (NVC) on January 28, 2010.

Embassy Manila has now simplified scheduling procedures for K visa applicants. Qualified K1 visa applicants can now schedule their own visa interview dates.

The applicant should contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center at telephone 1-909-101-7878 to schedule a visa interview date. The Call Center number is for subscribers of PLDT and Smart telephone touchtone landlines with national and international distance dialing features (NDD or IDD access). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Manila time). There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services.

The applicant should have his case number ready when he contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center to schedule a visa interview appointment.

During the interview, a consular officer will determine if the applicant is eligible for a visa. The consular officer will also review the documents the applicant will submit and inform him if additional documentation is needed

The applicant should follow all interview preparation instructions for fiancé(e) (K1) visa applicants located on the Embassy’s website at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html. The instructions contained at the web site will provide you the required documentation and procedures to follow prior to the interview date. You may also download the necessary forms from our web site, as needed.

A list of immigrant and fiancé(e) visa cases that have been scheduled for an interview is available at our web site at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html. You can confirm the interview date at this Internet address, where appointments scheduled for the current month and the following month are listed. The record is updated in the middle of each month. Applicants unable to keep the listed appointment can call before the appointed day to reschedule to a more convenient time.

If you would like to inquire further about the status of the visa case, you may contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center.

Is this mean that I can now go ahed and call the Call Center to schedule my Interview or wait for the snail mail to come?

I'm a bit confused.

Thanks.

Hi, as long as you have your mnl case # you can call to USEM for your interview appointment. As for me my fiancee call the embassy 14 days after we receive the NVC letter.

Good luck

Yep, it is time to make the appointment. I called the embassy at 1-888-877-9888. There is a 18 USD fee for this but the call quality is great. They have a internet system too called vista point. This is new and I do not know much about it.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv1.html#step3

This is webpage with all the info. You will need all your fiancee's info (b-date, address etc) to make the interview date. She will need to do the medical 8-10 before the interview as well as pay the visa fee, attend the CFO seminar etc.

Good Luck

Call the Embassy today and make an interview appointment. Disregard it if they tell you to call back in two weeks. Instead, call back tomorrow. Keep calling every day until they allow you to set an interview appointment.
