WoooHOOOO!!!

Got the NOA1 in the mail yesterday, our file was "touched" on Wednesday, so I'm guessing that was the actual mailing of the form. NOA1 on form says Feb 11, so our estimate from the case number on the back of the check was accurate!

Thanks to everyone for being there and such a great support.

Now back to the waiting for the next part. (and crossing our fingers that we don't have any RFEs to complete.)

:innocent:

Hiya

Don't wanna rain on your parade and you are more than welcome here, but this thread is specifically for Feb 10 filers at the CSC, not VSC.

Like I said, I'm not chasing you away, but you might find it more relevant and helpful to keep up with your fellow VSCers, if only because they do process at slightly different rates. If you couldn't care less about that, then hey! Welcome to the thread :D

LOL awww bless. It's only been 4 days :D

It's wierd though, I feel like we mailed ours off ages ago and was thinking today, wow it's nearly March. That's good, we're nearly 1 month down. Erm, nope. It's only 2 weeks tomorrow :D

I'm being tortured by trying to figure out when to plan our wedding for. Considering the schools go back mid- late August, we'd really like to get married second week in August so friends with kids who would have to travel cross-country could join us. But it seems like it's cutting it just too fine for getting our visas. I wouldn't worry if the embassy in London wasn't being wierd compared to petitions filed this time last year, but they seem to be backlogged, so I dunno...

Keep going from a quickie JoP and then planning a ceremonial wedding for later, and just having the intimate small to-do we're likely to go for anyway...

So waiting to see how our NOA2 progresses. If it's quickish, then we'll probably go for the whole shebang, if it's dragging, we'll do JoP.

uhhhhhhggggggg.......stupid immigration  indeed!

Yup agreed all around...my fiance and I are planning to do the JoP thing when I get down there on the K1. Then do an actual celebratory "wedding" within the next year after, destination thing probably to Carribean or something, but who knows plans could change!! We don't want to book any dates as of yet as can't be exactly certain when K1 will definitively go through, and also want to give friends/family sufficient notice to be able to plan and book. Oh well end up having 2 anniversaries to celebrate (L)

Gonna try a B-2 while waiting for the K-1 to get to the next steps. We're fully aware of the unlikelihood it gets approved, but the worst that happens is we're out the filing fee. If anything interesting happens, will post an update...

Actually, the worst that could happen is you get the B-2 visa but are denied entry at the POE by the ICE officer because he sees the I-129F petition has been filed.

Now that would be the Worst.

good luck...

My I-129F was received on February 19th, but my check hasn't been cashed yet and also, a scan of the return signature card was emailed to me, but it was completely illegible. How did you guys find out so quickly who signed for your application? I hope I get my check cashed and my NOA1 in the mail SOON!! Good luck everyone.

My wedding is planned for August 8, 2010. I know we are cutting it close, but we had to take a chance. Honestly, if we get our NOA2 in the estimated time, we should be fine. It does seem like the Embassy is taking their sweet time, but hopefully there weren't too many applications in December and January because of the holidays so us February filers should get our quick, right?! Let's all pray for that.

Yeah, I'm still trying to work that one out. I guess we need to get past the B-2 interview first. If that succeeds, then we'll set up some kind of back-up plan...maybe I'll route her through somewhere that does preclearance like Nassau. If she gets turned away there, I can hop over and we can spend a week or two in the Bahamas before she has to go home.

Will post our updates. I think we're being realistic about our chances but we figure honesty is the best policy here. It's just a matter of whether or not the Yekaterinburg interviewer believes that the intent to immigrate is solely with the K-1, not the B-2...

I sent my I-129F package in via Express Mail. On the USPS web site, you can request signature proof--within a few minutes I got a PDF with the person's signature on it and it was legible to me. Linda Fairbanks signed for mine and her signature was pretty legible.

My I-129F was received on a Friday. The following Monday was a holiday (President's Day) and my check posted with my bank on Wednesday. So--two business days after receipt.

Tried to get an electronic copy of my check but I couldn't read the case number--so I requested a hardcopy be mailed to me. It's hopefully sitting in my mailbox now waiting for me to grab it :)

Hey Mike&Rhio. I am assuming you Filed for a K-1 at the CSC because that is what this thread is for. Maybe you can edit your profile to include what you filed for and at what Service Center. It helps keep the different time frames straight.

If that succeeds, then we'll set up some kind of back-up plan...maybe I'll route her through somewhere that does preclearance like Nassau. If she gets turned away there, I can hop over and we can spend a week or two in the Bahamas before she has to go home.

Now that is a great back-up plan. I like it.

Gosh that's brave!

Having said that, saw a couple of January filers got their NOA2s yesterday :o I'm trying hard not to get too excited at the prospect of hearing something in the next few weeks, rather than the next couple months lol.
