Oh and I didn’t include the instructions either, figured if they didn’t want the I-129F instructions they wouldn’t want the G-325A ones either.

Thanks for keeping up the timelines.

No one will get an RFE for not including the instructions to G-325a. The less paper they get the better except for proof of meeting at least once in the past two years.

My check was cashed yesterday. Not sure how people are seeing their case numbers so quickly, but I put in a request to my bank for a check copy, which they don't normally do unless a monthly statement has already been issued.

My fiance uses internet banking and I think it was a pretty easy process for him to see his check online. In any case now I'll be checking the USCIS updates daily...haha or rather more than once daily!! I gotta start keeping myself busy:)

I got my check copy about a half hour ago. Either there is no receipt number on the back or it's just not legible in my case.

Hi Salsa...

You applied to CSC correct? You should see a WAC########## type stamp on the back of your check. The WAC number is your case number for the petition.

No visible number...I don't even see the letters "WAC" anywhere on the back. I don't think it's that the number is really missing--I just think it's just illegible. There are marks on the back of the check that I cannot translate to anything readable...

On the front of the check, I see "This is a a LEGAL COPY of your check. You can use it the same way you would use the original check." Right above that I see a 10-digit number. Right above that is the date the check posted. And right above that is a 9-digit number with an asterisk before and after.

On the back of the check, I can clearly see the "For deposit only...US Treasury...Citizenship & Immigration Service...California Service Center" stamp. There are various other printings on there as well---but nothing that starts with "WAC".

Bummer.

That is exactly as it appears and our WAC number was the one below the dotted line. On the USCIS website I entered WAC with the 10 digit number.

Actually that does help a great deal...I can see where that is now--it's just not clearly legible on my check, unfortunately.

Guess I'll wait for the hardcopy NOA-1...it's certainly a challenge balancing patience with the urge to constantly check for updates

Haha exactly...Im holding off on getting mobile updates cuz then i'll just be checking my phone too many times per day Wow you are showing restraint, only checking 2x per day hehe

I am seeing in many folks timelines dates with "case touched", how do you know?

I am on the "Your Current Case Status for Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" site and all I see is "Initial Review".

Nothing else.

Typically after you file your petition you will see a "touch" several days after sending in your petition. This occurs when USCIS generates the NOA1 receipt.

You can tell if your case has been touched by logging in the USCIS dashbord site and checking your petition. If the "last updated" column has a different date than the last time you loged in your petition has been "touched"

WoooHOOOO!!!

Got the NOA1 in the mail yesterday, our file was "touched" on Wednesday, so I'm guessing that was the actual mailing of the form. NOA1 on form says Feb 11, so our estimate from the case number on the back of the check was accurate!

Thanks to everyone for being there and such a great support.

Now back to the waiting for the next part. (and crossing our fingers that we don't have any RFEs to complete.)
