Argghhh, it's been crazy hectic around here recently. Interview's tomorrow and just noticed so is Twowls' richard, so I'll look out for him and embarrass the heck out of Ry going up to random people saying "hey, are you Richard?" or "hey, are you Emma?" (Y&E on VJ) lol

I promise I'll be back to update the thread by the end of the week :)

Emi, have a look at my sig for an idea of London's turnaround times at the moment. Seems about average, so I'd say give it a couple weeks and then start calling. I got our P4 the day after our medical, so by that logic, we're looking at June 16th for you :)

And Friday, October 15th is an awesome date, coz it's my daughter's 11th birthday :D lol so heyyyyyy, stop copying me for important dates! lol

Approved too :)

Was...wierd. The guy taking the paperwork wanted stuff that doesn't exist and didn't want stuff they're supposed to need. The CO asked about my parents "doing it" in France (where I was born) when and where Ry and I had met, what Ry does for a living and where would we be staying, and when did we hope to travel/ marry.

Initially we'd thought end of June for a July 4th wedding, but the airfare's are just ridiculous that close to Indy Day, so now we're looking at 17 July for the wedding and traveling straight after July 4th. I like the new anniversary date: 07-17-10 or 071-710 :D

Now to actually get the visas! lol

Awesome news that you're approved! Sounds like a slightly bizarre experience, but hey, you got approved so whatever... :D

That is a very nice wedding date, too - not long now, only like 6 weeks! Bet you can't wait!

It's really cool that Ry could go to your interview with you. I wish Shawn could come to mine, but no such luck. :(

On that note, does anyone know if you can take any random friend with you to your interview? Or can it only be your other half named on the application? I'm thinking some moral support would be good! Plus, it'd be nice to have someone to celebrate with afterwards! :D

I don't think you can. And honestly, they'd have to be the best mate in the entire universe. I'd rather sit in a dentist's chair for a couple hours than go through that again. lol...

But it was lovely having him there with me. Takes the sense of urgency away, without losing any of the excitement. This whole experience is so surreal, it's pretty cool being able to go through it together.

We're both absolutely shattered, so I'm off to snuggle up with a celebratory movie and pizza :)

Wow, awesome news all around guys...very happy to see so many interviews and approvals!! :thumbs:

I've been hanging out on the Canada Forum for the last while and WAITING for Montreal to schedule an interview for us. They received our packet 3 on April 26th, logged in May 4th....and now just WAITING. Its quite frustrating....but I am not alone there are many in the same boat, at least 11 who are active in our forums over in Canada some with logged in dates in April. Montreal is notorious for being a very tardy consulate...very annoying and surprising being so close to USA.

Continued good luck to all, looking forward to keep hearing great news:)

We had our interview earlier today and after hours of waiting and a one minute-long interview, were approved for the K-1 visa. Now we're just waiting for the passport+visa before returning to the US on the 18th.

Hi guys, glad to see so many Feb filers got approved. We waited 3 months for NOA2 but we are catching up now. Just got Packet 3 instruction letter and now preparing the packet. I have already faxed the DS-230 Part 1, had my RCMP Police certificate and fingerprints for my Hong Kong Police Certificate application. I'm not sure when should I fax my checklist because I do not have my vaccination records and need a blood test before booking medical exam. Can I just fax them first or wait?

Are you dealing with Montreal or Vancouver consulate? I mailed my packet 3 response to Montreal, did not fax...

Also you may want to post consulate specific questions on the Canada forum, as each consulate usually has their own way of doing things.
