Keep calling that number eventhough you get a busy tone! Dont give up. I, myself, called them twice since last week for almost everyday since NVC got it last Mon 4/12. And now I've been calling them 2x a day on when NVC is going to send to US Embassy in Manila. A nice girl whom I talked, just now told me that NVC got it two days ago. And most likely to be shipped within this week and she advised me to call this cooming Monday. But I will be calling them again 2x until they ship to Manila.

So keep on calling, you never know, NVC might have it... Good Luck!!

I think the NVC number has live operators from 07:30 am until Midnight EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), M-F. They recommend calling for a live operator about 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm on the East Coast time or 8:00 pm on East Coast time. If you are on the West Coast, it is easy to call about 8:00 pm Pacific Time (11:00 pm EDT).

Good luck.

Weirdly enough I've had a busy signal with NVC also, but if I hang up and hit redial right away often times it goes through to the menu options.

oh just in case there is another military type in the same boat as me, for the record i called the embassy and asked about the whole address deal, when asked for an address on the forms in packet 3, you are to put (undetermined) in the blocks, and for block 11 on the DS-230 part 1 item number 11 "address where you want your green card mailed" you must put a US address, it can not be a APO address. I just put my home of record address at my parents house.

just in case any military lurkers are out there trying to find information on this :)

N0A2 approved last 4/5/10. Hard the hard copy 4/8/10. I've bee calling NVC almost 2x daily if NVC recd it. NVC recd 4/12/10. Called them back 2x daily if when NVC going to send the US Embassy Manila.

Got home from work this morning 3am west coast time. Decided to call them again 430A, west coast time - 730A Eastern time. Early worker answered the phone, seems like she hadnt have coffee yet and little bit cranky. She told me that this is a new case and it will take a while and advised me to call back a week. (I didnt buy her statement)

Woke up 12 noontime, I decided to call NVC (3PM Eastern). Talked to NVC, a hispanic nice gentleman answer the phone and told me that it sent 4/15/10. And I double check with him, today? and he said yes. The guy told me that it will take 3-4 weeks to check in Manila.

I went to DHL Traking. I saw the there is a pkg recd by DHL and about to send today to Manila. That's the only PKG leaving to the Phil.

Am I going to received a confirmation letter from NVC about my case? When is the right time to call Manila Embassy to schedule my fiancee's interview?

Thanks and congrats a lot to all VJ here. You all are great.... and this forum help me a lot. And who will say that we need lawyers or attorneys to process our papaers. You rock!! CSC rocks!! To all March filers... hang in there... you're turn will be soon.... THNKS!!

I do not think you are guaranteed to receive a notice from NVC. But yes, I did receive hardcopy from NVC on 04/12/2010. It stated my Bangkok number BNK#, said the petiton will be forwarded to Bangkok within the week and gave me the postal address of the Bangkok Embassy.

I already knew from talking to a non-cheery lady at NVC that my petition had been sent out 4/5 which looking at DHL actually looked like 4/6.

Good luck.

I think it looks like a day earlier than it actually leaves, because they schedule/ mark it for collection a day before... possibly. Honestly, who can tell about this process? lol

I finally managed to find someone to authenticate my German police cert application, so will get that mailed tomorrow. Also am collecting a medical letter for my daughter next Thursday and then I've got everything coordinated for my packet 3. As soon as that arrives, I'll mail back the forms and if there's still anything outstanding (at this point, just waiting for police certificates from UK and Germany) then I'll submit the checklist afterwards. Oh, and will try and book the medical tomorrow as well.

I'm going to write a letter to accompany the checklist asking for a speedy interview, in light of wanting to settle my daughter in as much as possible before having to start school. She's currently getting help for anxiety, and only being 10 years old, she's finding this all a lot to cope with. She's traveling with her school to France for a day on June 26th and would need her passport back for that. It will be cutting it a bit fine for London's current timing but the wait won't seem as bad since Ry, my fiance, will be coming over on May 10th to see us through to the end of this in London and going through POE with us... and the cat. lol Can't wait to see him again :)

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017
