No, I sent it Certified return receipt. When they say snail mail, heavy emphasis on the SNAIL !!!

LOL, yeah.... they needed to tell you it would involve trailing a lettuce leaf from the Bay to Laguna Niguel as incentive.

packages of freeze dried noodles in case she gets sick of "American food." If Audy comes in November like I am hoping, then she will need a lot of warm clothes. I need to buy her a heavy coat in Bangkok.

It will be interesting.

You mean like ramen? They have those in the US, I know... my fiance lives on them when I'm not around! lol

And yeah, I'm having the opposite experience. We'll be selling all our heavy winter clothing, because even in December, the coldest it got in Tucson was high 40s at about 2am. Nothing that a regular jacket over a long sleeve or a sweatshirt won't take care of. And if we get around to going ski-ing in Flagstaff or somewhere, we'll need ski gear and not street wear type clothes.

We've now joined the February 2010 Filer's Club. I-129F went out today via Express Mail. My fiancee is from Chelyabinsk, Russia. We've been seeing each other for two years now. Met on Elena's Models and have since vacationed in Prague, Egypt and the Bahamas. I strongly recommend two of the three :)

Hoping for an NOA-1 by the end of next week.

By the way, I noticed that the ZIP+4 is listed wrong for the California Service Center--made a separate post on it.

Good luck to everyone--I'm anxious to post some progress on our application.

No, they are somehow different from Ramen, although she does eat Ramen. But Thai packaged noodles have a different flavor. Many USCs on the Thai forum recommend buying lots of these for the fiancee until you can have her try different Thai restaurants and shop around at some of the Asian markets.

I think England might be closer to USA tastes in food and cooking.

Welcome to the gang :) And the ZIP+4 has worked for years, don't worry about it.

hi everyone! :)

im new to this forum but i just want to share my happiness with everyone that today my USC boyfriend of almost 2 years finally proposed to me! :)

and he wants us to file for a K1 so I could finally join him in the US.

we haven't made any preparations yet for filing but I would like to be a part of this forum and along the way be able to guide other people as well in the same journey.

however, we are planning to file soon and hopefully get the mail through before february ends.

to those who have filed or are filing this FEBRUARY 2010 in california service center, please lets post our timelines on this thread to get each other updated on the processing time.

this will also serve as our moral support to each other as we go through this 'adventure'. (might as well make the waiting time fun) ;)

hope to get in touch with all those who are on the same boat as i am.

good luck to all of us!

I sent my I-129F filing February 1, 2010. While the Post Office web site says the envelope was delivered February 8, 2010, I have not seen my check cashed nor an email version of NOA1.

Ask your USC fiance to use either USPS overnight or Fed-Ex overnight. Do not send it through the US Postal Service certified or registered. It slows it down.

Also write in large letters "I-129F" on the outside front of the envelope. This also will help in sorting and delivery at CSC. I did not know to do this. I have learned that in the past 10 days here on this web site.

Good Luck

Adam & May

Congrats! And yay, hopefully that means today or tomorrow for us :) Have they cashed your check yet?

Hi!

I am a Feb Filer. I will be sending in my file tomorrow 02-10-10. I am sooo excited. I hope that all goes well.

Welcome to the gang!

Our package was mailed today!! Hoping for NOA1 very soon....anyone know if NOA 1's are typically by mail or will the petitioner get an email!? Any other ways to check!?

If you read up this thread, and paid by check, you can look at your online banking (if you have it) and see if you can read the case number on the back of the canceled check. Then use the USCIS 'sign up for case updates' on the front page of the website, and see if there's anything there. Otherwise, it's by mail.

And welcome!

Hiya

There's already a thread going for Feb 2010 CSC filers, even if it says Philippines under it, it's open to all. Find it here

I'm respectfully going to ask a mod to merge your post into it and see if they can take the subtitle off, so as to avoid confusion and keep us all in one place.

Welcome to the gang :)
