No no, I meant knowledge of how the VJ timeline updates - what sort of information it uses. The weird changing dates really make no sense if it's going by forum users' approvals.

The average wait seems to be 30-50 days from the NOA1, based on the list of everyone in this thread, but my timeline shows the earliest acceptance as 72 days from my NOA1. That's kind of out there.

You really can't use the VJ timelines as a serious guide, since the data is totally skewed by people putting different dates in than they should. We've got a new Feb CSC showed up on Igor, who apparently mailed the I129F in OCTOBER, got NOA1 in MARCH and whose case states it was rec'd at CSC on 19 Feb! However, the date for their NOA1 is Feb 26th according to their timeline.

From what I understand, it takes all the approvals for CSC and adds the days from NOA1 to NOA2 and then divides it by the total number of applications logged on VJ timelines as going through CSC. So if you have someone who had a weird case finally update, it'll knock the averages back. If you have someone who's playing around with dates, it'll make the estimates wonky. Likewise when you have cases like our aforementioned pal, who waited 4 months 1 week for their NOA1 to be issued!

I honestly don't think the thickness of the petition file matters one iota when it comes to K-1s. Any 'frontloading' of evidence of relationship is literally set aside. They only want to see evidence that you've met in the past 2 years and that all your forms are correct and signed. The VSC Director himself said it depends entirely on the experience, working speed and complexity of checks as to how quickly your petition is handled compared to another with an identical NOA1 date. I think the thread with his 'Q&A' is pinned at the top of the K-1 forum. It makes for interesting reading.

We're officially at day 50 and it's lunchtime at CSC. Out of interest, for those with NOA2s - what time of day, using California's time zone (PST), did your update notifications arrive?

Hi February filers, how are you guys doing ? Please count me in. 34 days since NOA1, I check my account every day like crazy, many times I got error message instead of approval...lol. Wish you all luck and be with the one you love soon (F)

Hiya

Please could you complete your timeline, so we can keep the figures up to date? If you click on 'immigration timelines' at the top menu, you'll get through to a page that has your add/edit timeline option in the left column. The list that we use for tracking what's happening with everyone (when they don't post! lol) is the one in the middle column in bold, subtitled 'Igor's List'.

Welcome to the party :)

No. They say 5 months, we see more like 90-100 days average.

Sure it's frustrating. I want to jump up and down like a petulant child when I see DukeofYork with only 5 days advantage on filing with a UKC beneficiary already holding packet 3 in their hands. 10 days from NOA2 to P3 delivered?? It's insane. They could be reunited by the end of May at this rate. That's 4 MONTHS from filing to POE.

But there is little rhyme or reason to this process. But if you let the speedy turnarounds get under your skin and think that there's something wrong because you're 56 days into a process that could take 150 days? You're going to be out of your mind insane if you happen to be one of the ones who does have to wait that long.

Hi Linasaur. I really like your avatar photo. Is that a picture of you or your fiancee. It always makes me laugh. I wonder if I am developing a taste for ladies with large mustaches.

There are not enough petitions recorded here at VJ for the results to really be meaningful. I expected to some others here to have an approval by now but it hasn't happened. I think some cases might be more difficult or have issues and we do not have a way to account for that.

Good luck to all February filers.

Actually want to add some logical reassurance to waiting it out before contacting or getting worried.

If you change Igor's List to show all Feb CSC NOA1s, KarinaB hasn't been online for 12 days. Who knows, they may well have received their NOA2 and not updated. Of those left between Feb 1st and you, one received an RFE, the other doesn't have a profile yet and then there's you. Just ride it out. Once there's a full set in front of you and a couple of weeks after you, then start wondering. But all they're going to tell you is call back in 30 days. And then you might get a touch generated that logs your call and you'll be all excited and then horribly disappointed when it's just a seemingly empty touch.

And don't forget, the website isn't 100% reliable. For all you know, your NOA2 is with the good service of the USPS as we type.

I haven't noticed any touches after the NOA1 that didn't result in some sort of action. That's super exciting :]
