Anyone else noticing that their VJ estimated timeline keeps moving back right now? A few weeks ago it was early April for me then mid April now late April! Anyone know why it moves around so much? I'm guessing it based off of other people's timeilnes but there have not been that many people being approved recently...

Also what's more distressing is that it was giving a 1-2 week window of approval before now its a 5 week window! Maybe it just shows how sporadic CSC's approvals are...even the timeline can't pin it down

I came to post the exact same thing, Wishing. My timeline has jumped back nearly a month since I set it up. It's a bit disheartening, but the approvals still seem to fall between 30-50 days from the NOA1, so I'm trying not to give it too much thought.

(36 days here, and it's hard not to keep thinking "Any day now...")

Very true they are still falling between the 30-50 day range. And really that is waaayy fast compared to the usual cases. Just going to have to stop checking my USCIS status so frequently :P

I finally got a response from NVC research today ... my petition is " enroute " to NVC. I don't know if it was the phone calls to both NVC and USCIS or the request to NVC research to "find " the petition or the phone call to my congressman's office last Friday.

Now the question is .... how long will " enroute " take ?????

I did not know you were having trouble with the file going to NVC. Great, so that is what I need to worry about now. I just assumed that was a really easy step that took 4 to 5 days and no problems. :crying:

Hi spencer12, do you have a timeling. I don't see the icon for your timeline. If you don't have it, can you enter it under immigration timelines. It will help Feb and March people.

Also, I think you might already be approved. You just need the uscis system to be updated to show your current status as approved.

Yea Audy ...... that's what I thought too .... but apparently with some of them, for some reasons ( ????? ), the petitions get sat on for awhile. Maybe for additional checks or info or some kind of a quota system ( ie... so many sent out this week and so many sent out next week ) ... who knows ???? My biggest concern was that my petition was not lost or stuck between 2 file cabinets somewhere !

Now I am wondering exactly what does " enroute " mean  .... hopefully nothing like " the check is in the mail " :hehe:

Yeah.... since last night, my timeline has moved back a week. Again. What exactly is it using to calculate all this? It'd be nice to have a semi-reliable estimate on the visa, but as it stands now I have no idea if I should be checking the VJ timeline at all.

If there's anyone with knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes, I'd really love to understand it.

Hey Linasaur, are you honestly asking if someone might have knowledge and understanding of what happens inside a US Government bureaucracy? There is no such person(s).
