being a government worker myself I can kinda relate to the immigration office on how things get done, and with my experience the only reason the government would work over time to get ahead is if there is something coming that is going to slow them down soon.

i know with my job, whenever there is an inspection team coming through, a DV coming to visit, or just annual or refresher training that needs to be accomplished the higher-ups defiantly get on everyone's #### to get ahead so they wont be behind afterwords. i can guarantee that if there is a time standard for these forms to be accomplished, there isn't anyone that would push things faster unless they where told specifically to do so. and in most cases, especially with government jobs that deal in national security, you can bet if they push a petition faster than the norm, their supervisors would defiantly be questioning the petition and the employees integrity.

all I'm saying is congrats to those that got pushed through faster, but to those of us that are still waiting, don't be upset or surprised if things come to a sudden stop, its just how the government works sometimes.

Anyone else noticed that the January filers have now overtaken the Decembers in % of approvals on Igor's List?

Crickey, I'm glad that I didn't/ couldn't file in December. I'd be pulling my hair out by now!!

I'm feeling pretty calm about when it's going to happen. Yup, I check email/ status once a day, but it's not feeling despondent or irritated when there's no change. Ask me again in a couple months if we're left 'behind' and I'm sure it'll be a different story! But for now, que sera, sera... it means I can put off selling my entire life and running around wrapping up all the officialdom of life before setting out! lol

How's everyone else holding up?

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

Hey Sundrop, glad to hear ur holding up. Its true its all early on, and I find the time has gone by so fast already!! Although of course its encouraging to have seen so many "fast" approvals come through in the recent weeks, who knows whats in store. I as well noticed January surpassing December...that has got to be frustrating for sure! It does look like approvals have slowed down this week however according to Igor's list. True so many changes to come, nice to take some time and enjoy time left with family and friends while still living in our "home" cities! Keep the positive energy flowing!! :star:

Wishing (& everyone else too),

The board does seem rather quite now. It seems as if we have gotten through most of the "that was amazingly fast" approvals and the rest of us have settled in for the average. At least that is how I feel as an early Feb filer. The late-middle and late Feb filers still have a chance at the "that was amazingly fast" approval.

Of course, that doesn't mean I don't check this and USCIS websites daily.

I like seeing our forum post on the first page

Fortunately, I get a distraction. I am going to see May next month.

Good luck everyone.

Adam

Ryan is visiting and it is sooo good to see him. I'm a bit sad that approvals aren't moving as fast, but I wasn't planning on hearing anything until May so I'm still holding up with the waiting. We were in Lake Tahoe for the weekend, and we are heading to Boston tomorrow for 5 days. Hopefully all of the travel and wedding planning will keep our minds off of the visa approval. We wish everyone the best and hope for fast approvals for all!

Loves!
