So--32 days. This must mean that some of you guys--sundrop, duke, adam and may, wishing etc.--should be hearing something very soon! Unless it's just my mad filing skills, and you know I have them...but really, this is another great indication that we are all in a supernaturally fast-moving batch of petitions. What a thrill.

I know London has a reputation for slow motion, but it's just so nice to feel things moving. Almost there!

Wishing everybody approvals any minute so we can all share the happy.

LOL the mad filing skills... I'm curious/ nosey to know how 'complicated' the approved cases were. I have a previous marriage, previous GC holding parents and my fiance had a bit of trouble with the law in his foolish younger days(not AWA related!!) but I suspect that all that will slow us down compared to others.

It's hard not to feel excited when you see someone with only 1 day on you NOA1-wise getting their NOA2s, but I have to keep reminding myself it will probably be longer than average, all things considered.

But congrats!! At this rate, even with London being slower than most, you could be there by early July :)

I would say our case is pretty simple, yes. We have a <180 days VWP overstay and a denial of entry but no marriages or kids or anything else that they would need to deal with at this stage.

Only had matching passport stamps as proof but that seems to have been fine. Hopefully even with the extra stuff to check, all these petitions are going to move.

I got all excited when my case was updated on 3/10/10, which is a lot sooner than I expected even the minimum amount of activity after getting my NOA1. But now I'm noticing people who got NOA1's either the week before I sent mine and the week of getting their NOA2's. I'm starting to check the USCIS site daily and still no change. I'm still in "initial review" and the update is 3/10/10.

So my question for those who got their NOA2's recently is this:

How hit and miss were the text/email updates? I've seen some people got them as soon as their case was updated [touched] and others didn't get them at all, but got the NOA2 in the mail.

The speed at which CSC is doing these petitions has gotten my hopes up, but the wait is killing me (especially since she's here now and leaves on Sunday--not looking forward to that!).

@DukeofYork:

I got an email before the touch. Checked the USCIS site the next day and the touch was recorded for that day. No other prior touches past the first one for NOA1.

I felt the same way as I saw people getting approved--excited but even more impatient. Tried to make myself be okay if it took the average time while secretly holding out hope we'd get a fast miracle. But it's hard to unring the bell and not get your heart set on an early approval once you know it's possible.

In my mind all the officials at the office look like the worker rats from The Secret of Nimh, and they all run around, but less efficiently, in a large thorny mass of roots and branches, and because they are rats they can only carry one item in their mouths at a time, so every case-related action is carried out individually and there's no coordination or multi-tasking. They have developed some pulley systems and things, but at the end of the day, they are still just mutant rats in a rosebush. I hope nobody from CSC is reading this.

Apparently the text/email alerts are hit and miss.

Why?

My fiancee just got home [my house] after putting down her deposit on her wedding dress and called me at work. NOA2 just arrived!

So go ahead and put down NOA2 received on 3/15/10!
