I seem to be having the most problems with I-864 ones. On part 24 a)i listed the income of my husband 24 b) Income you are using from any other person who was counted in your householdsize, including, in certain conditions, the intending immigrant. I have a joint sponsor so do i put him there or leave him out? because below that in part D it says the persons listed above have completed an I-864A which i thought he wasn't suppose to fill out. These forms give me a headache.

Another Question:

Even though my husband doesn't make a lot of money and i have a joint sponsor, does it still look bad that my husband doesn't make a lot of money?I figure by the time i go for my interview i will have a job and we will make more money or can they deny me before the interview for lack of money?

I don't know the answer to the first part. We didn't use a joint sponsor. However, I don't see how a lack of money can really be used to deny or approve as long as the requirements for the I-864 are met. The only way I can see them using "low income" as an issue is in the circumstance of not filing for AOS on time or incompletely due to not having the finances.

Good Luck. The I-864 seemed to be one of the most confusing forms to me. I used the example on the VJ site to help me.. I know the example doesn't show a joint sponsor.. would be helpful though!

You're not (presumably) getting any kind of income from your co-sponsor, so you can leave them out of this.

Is it safe to assume that your joint-sponsor does not live with you? If this is the case, they're not completing an I-864A, they are (or should be) completing an I-864 just like your husband is.

Not especially no.

Oh you Canadians...(I tell my boss all the time.. "you guys come down here waiving a treaty..." (she knows I'm teasing of course) She's on her second 10-year PR/Green Card but has been here 23 years...lol)

OK - so BIL can stick with just the I-864 (and you can leave his income off your husband's I-864). I'm assuming he earns enough to meet the minimum for his household size plus you (so you're not needing to combine incomes).
