Getting B-2 visa to visit spouse while waiting I-130 results.

I applied for I-130 petition in October, 2009 and still waiting for the result. In thew meanwhile, I wanna visit my wife. I don't wanna go for K-1 way. Is it possible to get B-2 visa for this matter? If yes, what are the core requirements for B-2 Visa?

Which Embassy will you be submitting your application to?

A couple of things. 1) since you are married you obviously don't qualify for a K-1 fiance visa so that is not an option for you. 2) what consulate will you be dealing with? Some are stricter than others and the more information you have the better

Regardless, you'll need to show strong ties to your home country, what do you have to show the consular that you'll be returning to your country?

I am from Pakistan, but currently living in South Korea since 3 years coz of studies (Ph.D). My wife applied I-130 petition, just waiting the response.

Is it OK for me to go for B-2 visa? and What sort of documents should I needed.!!!!

You can apply for a B-2 visa but you'll need strong ties to S. Korea like enrollement letters from school showing when you are to return, a letter from an employer with an expected return date, lease/mortgage etc

Note - a B2 visa is not a guarentee
