I was wondering if anyone here had a patriotic Canadian tattoo?? I really want one before I leave for good..(not really but you know what I mean)

And I have been scouring the internet for ideas....I like the "I AM." over the Canadian flag and want it on my ankle. My girlfrind said to put 'Made In Canada' on the inside of my right wrist so when I eventually say the oath, my 'true feelings are there!! :innocent: lol

I have no friggen idea how to post pics at all...or I would post a pic I found....

My husbands cousin got a canadian flag and above it had MADE IN CANADA

So I got my tattoo today...a simple maple leaf on my right ankle behind and slightly below the ankle bone. It is about the size of a nickle so not really big...we ( the artist and I) were contemplating putting Est.1965 under it..but I think I might wait and see how it heals first!

A Little Tattoo with a big meaning!!!

How exciting ZansGirl!

Pictures?! :innocent: I (L) tattoos.

Someone needs a manicure. :hehe:

I, personally, do not like tattoos. However, they do come in handy for identification purposes.

:dead: eewwww, I never noticed that before.

That looks like a man's hand to me, probably someone who does manual labour. I know it's nearly impossible for some professions to get their fingernails completely clean (mechanics come to mind) so I'll give him a pass. :jest:

Funny .. When i came to the USA last year i contemplated getting a Canadian tattoo but i thought no . I know my roots and it only matters to me i didn't feel the need to go advertise it. I came here with the intentions of spending my life here with my wife ( or else i never would have bothered)

I like not advertising it .. i find it funny when people come and talk to me and complain about the immigrants not realizing who they are talking to.

I couldn't have put my opinion better myself.

But I don't begrudge those who want a Canadian tattoo either. It's just not my thing.

I'm reminded of several years ago when my sister (who is technically a half-sister -- my mother's daughter, not my father's) got a fairly large tattoo of a tiki on her thigh, even though she doesn't have a drop of New Zealand blood in her veins, nor any true kinship to New Zealand culture. It still rankles with her that I'm a New Zealand citizen and she's not...ONLY because I've got something she can't have.

I love my tattoo, its a Canadian Beacon. People always come up to me when I'm at the beach and ask if I'm from Canada. I meet Canadians on vacation all the time. Just this weekend, we were at the beach and another Canuck came up and asked if we could take his picture. Its a large tattoo and not discreet at all.
