Hi, I need some information here. I hope someone will help me. I am in the US and will be coming home to the Philippines for my little boy's interview on March 2010. My husband and I have already paid for the I-130 Petition $355, IV processing fee $400, and AOS fee $70. I am aware there is another medical fee but aside from that, do i need to pay for anything for the interview?

I am hoping things will go smoothly, how many days does the medical exam usually take for a four-year old?

Can we pick up the visa right after the interview or do we wait 1-2 weeks for it to be mailed?

Please provide useful information. I would really appreciate. God Bless!

hello!

you also need to pay for his visa application, just like you did and the rest of the process is pretty much like what you went through w/includes visa delivery, or if you want to pick it up yourself, you can ask permission from the CO who will interview you/your son if you can do so (some COs are ok w/it some are not).

if the CO doesn't allow it, delivery is anywhere between 1 to 2 weeks.

good luck and god bless! :)

Hey thanks for helping me out...but quick question, isn't that $400 (Immigrant Visa Processing Fee) THE visa fee already or is that a separate thing? My husband paid for it here before we got the approval..thanks again.

Hello there..you are correct $400 is for the visa processing...you dont need to pay anything for the interview...just pay for medical and thats it...

I have a question too...what are the requirements in getting passport for your child in the Philippines?

how long does it takes for the process of I-130? did your son sign for the g325 or you just put his name on there?

reply appricated...thank you and God Bless....

NSO Birth cert for the Philippine Passport. We filed for the I-130 petition in July and our interview appt will be in March, so that's about 8 months. No, my son didn't sign for any documents. I did all the paperwork and signed for it. You're welcome...
