London DCF'ers-- have any of you November/December filers received I-130 approval yet?

Hello all. Just checking in to see if anybody who filed a I-130 with London in November or December has received approval yet. My I-130 petition was logged in on November 12th, but I'm still awaiting a NOA2. We haven't received any RFE or anything, so I've just been watching the website and waiting. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock... The embassy website updated on Monday to say that all December filer approvals were mailed on February 1st... so I'm just crossing my fingers that my Nov 12th petition was grouped in with that December bunch.

Any November/December filers waiting with me, and maybe checking the mailbox a little too much? :)

Just quickly updating this to say that I called the embassy and got the email code to make a query. Turns out they mailed the RFE to me on December 22nd, and it got lost in the mail. So I've lost six weeks of time. :( Anyway, just updating this thread in case any of you soon-to-be filers are ever in my situation-- if the I-130 approval is taking much longer than expected, give them a call to make sure that their followup communication didn't get lost by the Royal Mail. I was being patient because I assumed that maybe it just got delayed by the holiday (since the response time on the embassy website had seemed to slow down). If I had kept waiting, they would've cancelled my petition on February 21st, since they would've received no response to the RFE letter.

Wow, that really stinks. :( Glad you got that sorted out though, and good on you for being so proactive in chasing your I-130. It would have been horrible if the petition had been cancelled.

Thanks elmcitymaven-- I'm feeling much more cheery now that I have gotten back from the post office and the affidavits are on their way... Now I think I should crack open a bottle of wine and celebrate being at least a tiny little bit further in the process! yum, yum!

Have a glass for me -- it's only just gone noon here on the West Coast so I can't possibly have one myself just yet (without getting branded the town lush. Oh wait, that already happened. :innocent: )

Full steam ahead! I seem to recall that the day after the embassy received our RFE reply they sent out the NOA2. Ours was the first case on VJ where London sent an RFE for such items -- before then, under the old I-130 (which was the one I used because the idiots at the embassy still had the old one available for download on their website ) there was no requirement for anything beyond the marriage certificate to be sent. El suck. In the end, it slowed us down only about a week because I was able to turn everything around quickly and on their end they were so quick to realise that we were for real. I bet you'll have your NOA2 next week! :star:
