Aloha All,

I have been using this site for sometime now mostly reading and gathering information. I must say it has been very useful.

Here is my delima. I have the case number and letter from the NVC dated 23 Jan. I followed the procedures found here for tracking packages sent from there out to the embassys. The only one listed during that time frame for Manila was delivered on the 28th and none since then. Since that time I have called the embassy 2 different times with no luck finding our packet listed in the computer. The woman I spoke with today informed me that they are input into the computer within 24 hours of reciept, but still nothing with my case number. Also got the canned speach from her to call back in two weeks. :(

Does anyone have some advice or other way of locating a packet that is at the embassy.

Thanks in advance

BTW, just to clarify, the last time you rang the NVC, did they tell you that your case was already forwarded to Manila? The NVC letter is not a sure indicator of that. A lot of people placed under AP in the NVC receive the same letter--that their case was already sent to the Embassy but the letter is a mere formula. However, if the NVC has told you over the phone that your case was transferred to Manila, give the Consulate a few days to key in the info of your case.

Hello Arbind.Ariande,

Thanks for the reply. To answer your question yes when I last spoke to the NVC they informed me that our packet had been sent on to the embassy on the 22nd. I will try them again tonight to verify. I will also follow your advice on calling them daily this week.

Thanks again,

:D

We had similar experience. Our case was found in the system about a week after delivery.

Talk about frustrating, I called the embassy today to look for or packet. Got the canned speach to call back in two weeks. Hung up with that call center attendant and within 5 minutes later got the email from the embassy saying to go ahead and call to make the appointment. So I call back and get the perfect attendant.... he started out with the canned speach but when I tell him about the email he says "Hold on let me see if I can find it and why it isn't showing in the system". While on hold I loose the connection.. Arrrrrrgh! I didn't get his name . So I call back again, after having to get a new PIN that is, and get a young lady that just wants to give the canned speach "Call back in two weeks".

So guess that I will be calling again, and again, and again, until I get the appointment.

Hang in there. I think most have had this experience. Nothing to be alarmed about but yes, it is frustrating. Keep calling each day.

In my case (I'm the beneficiary), I called US embassy Manila after 5 days they told my fiance that our case was already forwarded. First they told me that although we have that MNL# we should give at least a week for them to receive the actual packet of our case.. I tried to call again after 4 days and they told me that they have the packet but it was still not uploaded on their computers.

At exactly 1 week after my first call, I called again and from there I was able to schedule my interview. Goodluck ^_^
