We have known each others since 2006-because as me-4-musa said....

"""Getting married on the first trip and only spending 2 weeks with him. No way in hell I could do that. What’s the rush?! If he really loves you he’s gonna wait for you he’s not going anywhere."""

That is why in 3 years and a half I have traveled 10 times, and on my 9th time is when we decided to marry- and petition for him.

 Who said I was referring to you- where in my post did I say I was referring to you???:blink:

It's obvious who I was pointing out my response to. :hehe:

Actually - I was agreeing with you!! I think it they were wise words, so I concurred!!

Sorry if it might have looked like you were saying something about my case, but for sure that is not how I took it!!

I was just agreeing!

Vanessa do not worry yourself with other peoples comments. If you are happy and love your husband that is all that matters. I am here if you ever need to talk. And last I checked VJ was supposed to be a place to get positive and helpful advice about the immigration journey. I truly with you the best!!!

if only that were the case. plenty of happy people who loved their husbands in legitimate relationships have been denied visas. and plenty of COs share the same sentiments that me4musa expressed. it's not the only factor of course, but combined with other factors has been a cause for denial in the past for some couples. sometimes helpful advice isn't always positive either. i wish them the best too, but they should be prepared for a lot of flak over getting married the first time they met in person.

next time someone posts some red flag alerts or that they're on AP or unfortunately denied i'll make sure to post judy garlands "over the rainbow". That should send out the positive vibes and make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Whatever you think makes the site a better place. I can put on my rose-colored glasses and join the choir. ....some where...over the rainbow...

Rainbows, unicorns, hope and faith ~~~~ what's so wrong with that.

Nancy it is a wonderful place for advice and support. Don't let a few dark clouds affect your day.

I don’t think it would but according to Nancy - only positive vibes on VJ.

Nothing wrong with the vibes but why cherry coat obvious red flags. Yes this women is happy and loves her hubby but the CO doesn’t care about that.

If what I wrote is going to affect Nancy’s day (which I doubt it would I’m sure she has other things to worry about) then that’s a whole ‘nother story.

I always appreciate the way you make people (myself included) think about red flags in a very serious light. They should be, and cherry coating them can actually really hurt someone in the long run. As much as I feel really badly for people that are posting bad stories out of Casa lately, I appreciate them and keep reading them, because it's going to help me prepare for what to expect when we get to the consular level.

Thank you so much! ^_^ We're leaving in two weeks and I still haven't received my daughter's passport after I applied 6 weeks ago.. So- everyone take a little comfort in the fact that immigration isn't the only part of the State Department that doesn't care about your feelings, plans, or bank account. I feel like they own me now.. lol

What you said definitely did not affect my day whatsoever, but I am sure it affected that person's day. I also dont see anything wrong with only positive vibes.........is that such an awful thing? I understand that some advice is not always going to be positive, but we are all adults here and are old enough to make our own decisions. If people want to get married or engaged quickly or slowly that is their own prerogative and they should not be bashed for it.

On another note, Kim I think your interview will go wonderfully and I cant for you to post visa approved in a few days.

I never said that positive vibes were unacceptable and that it was such an ‘awful thing’.

Tell that to the CO not me.
