just wanted to let ya´ll know that every thing went smooth for my wife. Earlier posts show I was concerned on my wifes re-entry to the U.S. because of a clueless airline employee.

She originally entered through Miami in mid October and then we both left for Costa rica in mid November. She still did not recieve her green card. her CR1 passport was stamped with only an entry stamp (endorsed). I understand they don´t use the 551 anymore for a CR1 because the visa turns into a temprary 551 (green card) on entry. However she did have to go into secondary to be varified. I understand this always happens to residents entering only on their endorsed visa (temp 551). Then went for her infopass apointment and found out her visa packet was lost. Thats why she never recieved her green card. Filled out the ap for a replacement and am now in waiting again for it. Then went to the SS office and applied for her number---no problems.

Then off to Costa Rica again, on a different airline and once again got a CLUELESS airline employee who would not accept the endorsed visa as evidence. She said my wife needs a I94. Then got pissy when I said she doesn´t because she´s a resident. The employee stated that all that was is a visa and does not show residency. A little pointing at the line that says "upon entry serves as a temp 551 evidencing PERMANT RESIDENCE for one year. She wanted none of that and said "your problem, I´m not the customs". Once again insisted that my wife needs a I94.

Imigration upon entry in Dallas last week plus the infopass officer said no problems at all--will just go through secondary upon entry for verification. Also no problems with the SS administration. F´n airline employees have me worried once again because theýe clueless. Now I´m worrying once again that the idiots who think they know the rules wont grant her a boarding pass.
