Thanks! The border I cross at is pretty small and they all know me there. IF they have it I'm sure they are holding on to it until I come thru again. So, that is actually the best place it could be. But I'm thinking its' not there either as I'm sure they would have called me by now. I'm not really worried about getting across the border b/c like I said it's a small border and they all know I am legal and I still have my passport so I don't anticipate any problems there. I'm sure it's got to be here somewhere. I don't really go anywhere but I guess if I can't find it in my car by tommorrow I should report it missing - in case it did fall out of my purse somewhere.

Sorry, I read your post again and noticed that I missed a couple points, it doesn't matter if you are legal and you have your passport, you need to have your green card as well. Your passport doesn't give you any status in the US besides visitor status.

Just so you know, Scott (and there was really no way for you to know this without having read the threads here regularly for awhile), Neiks actually works for the border patrol...

Yes, I have kind of a unique situation. I'm a CBSA officer. The ports I work at are very small and even though the US and Canada ports are separate they are very close and so the US officers are almost like my co-workers. One of the US officers from the port is also my neighbour.

FOUND IT! Torn my car apart this morn.... not there. Went thru my purse, diaper bag, pulled everything out of my wallet, checked every jacket coat or sweater that has pockets... no luck. Then, it dawns on me! I had to take a photo copy of it last week. Sure enough checked my printer and there it was on the copy plate. Wwhew..... glad it turned up.

Woo hoo!!

That has happened to me before with my passport -- scanned it and left it on the scanner plate, then rushed around looking for it. :P

Oh neiks!! I'm so glad you found it. It's amazing how easy it is to forget something on a printer. I did my resume at Staples, and someone left their DL on it. Then I got back out to the car, and realized my RESUME was still on the printer!!

Hope you didn't tear up the house so bad it will take you a week to put it back together. I know that's probably something I would do.
