Hi. I know i have to have a police check done in NZ and australia and that shouldnt be too hard. But 30 years ago I went overseas on a holiday and lived in london for a year at a pub with a 3 month stint in morrocco during that year and a trip around britain as well. i worked in London for a few months. I also lived in a kibbutz in israel for almost a year. Ive had 2 new passports since then and only my most recent trips to the USA are on my latest passport.

So do I have to get a police check from Israel or Britain. If so will I need those done for my interview

Also on the subject of immunisation. Can I go to my doctor and get a blood test to be checked for what I am currently immunised against and present that to the CS when i do my medical before the interview, or do I need original immunisation records.

Im told i will need the hep B vaccine which is 3 shots over about 4 months. should I start that now.

thanks for any info

I believe that you will need a police check from Britian if you lived here for more than 1 year (see here for the form: http://www.acpo.police.uk/acro/). Anywhere that you lived for more than 1 year from the age of 16 needs a police check. If you didn't live in Israel for 12 months then you shouldn't need one from there.

As to the shots. I'm not sure about the immunisation record if the blood test would be acceptable but the Hep B would probably be cheaper to have done in NZ. I've read that you can get your medical clearance without the immunisations but you will have to have them in the US before you file for AOS. I'm not sure if that's just in certain circumstances or not. I haven't checked the medical stuff on the NZ consulate page (but their visa info is so much better than where i am at the mo) but it might give you advice on your Hep B question.

Good luck :)
