All my visa papers got RAINED on last night.

Ran to Walmart after work yesterday to pick up a heavy duty expandable file to keep all my visa papers in, after alll I'd just been carrying them around in an orange paper folder.

Browsing the aisles. Start to hear it pour down rain on the roof of the store. Think nothing of it other than, "That's weird, it was totally sunny when I walked in."

Walk down the aisle a little more and LIGHT BULB, remember MY SUNROOF IS OPEN AND MY ORANGE FOLDER WITH ALL MY PAPERS IS SITTING ON MY FRONT SEAT.

:dead:

*cue freak out*

I drop my shopping basket, sprint out the store and it's freaking monsooning outside. Of course, I parked in pretty much the furthest spot from the door. Sprint a good 200 yards to my car, get inside, close the sun roof and look over at my orange folder. SOAKED, like water has puddled on top of it.

:crying:

*cue more freaking out and crying*

Every piece of evidence that Craig and I have ever met or exist as a couple is in this folder.

I finally get the nerve to open it up and, *ping* everything inside is perfectly dry.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I bet if I would have gotten out there a good 2 minutes later, it would have soaked through the folder and destroyed everything. There were only a few papers that were curly on top from sticking out of the folder, but those I can fix just by photocopying them.

I've never been so relieved in my life. So, I took the papers out, hid them under my seat so they wouldn't get wet from the STILL dripping ceiling. Walked back to Walmart (this time slowly, because well...I couldn't get any more wet, no reason to run). Went back to the aisle, picked up my basket and continued shopping. By the time I got to the checkout and out the door 10 minutes later. It was bright and sunny again.

*shakes head*

Ironic anyone? Your visa papers getting soaked while you go inside to buy something to protect them.

Well I can understand because didn't the show come out in the early 80s or so? Maybe they were around in comic book form before that, I dunno.
