Why arabs have more civilian casualties

One would think after a certain Group of people were repressed by the NAZI, they would be understanding of human suffering, of other's plight, but they are turning around and this time by being the Oppressor, history has a way of coming around but sadly Mankind NEVER LEARNED.

Violence only bring more violence!

Now those family that lost their loves one WITHOUT CAUSED would be ligning up to become Martyr for Hezbollah or any other group where they get get Vengance for the lost of their love ones. If you lose your mom, dad, or your love one wouldn't you want to have justice, have the murderer brought to justice, Whose going to Judge them, when the Criminal has immunity? Risto i am not sure about your family situation, If someone kill your love one would you sit and watch, and be a good boy, by giving them the other chick to slap,

After all whose going to bring them JUSTICE

They are all TERRORIST by the western point of view, Or they are Casualty of Terrorist, All the blame will be shifting!!!!

There is a HUGE difference between Justice and Vengeance. But since both sides are still trying to deal with "eye for eye" and one up manship... its a perpetual situation that spirals outa control. Until one side actually steps up and says quite literally "You have done me an injustice, but I will not retaliate in kind. I want peace, and here is my offering in truce" with REASONABLE conditions... it'll not end. and that is for both sides.

Arabs don't put up with BS! Like if you kill a person, they kill you, no farting around in the system. You comment adultry and are caught, you end up dead and no one knows what happens. I saw this when I was in Kuwait. Then again I would see serious fights over nothing at all. Like one day, a dude was walking by and accidently hit at table and spilled the mans tea. I seriously thought the poor man was going to be killed because of this.

Not too sure what the discussion is except that the cartoons seem to suggest that the Hezbollah is using civilians as shields and thus the killing of civilians in Lebanon is nothing but collateral damage whereas the killing of civilians in Israel is calculated murder.

Personally I think that cartoons like that are trying to excuse the inexcusable. Blaming Hizbollah for the Lebanese casualties overlooks the fact that Israel is specifically targeting civilians (and has been for a while) under the pretense of bombing terrorist fortresses. Whenever you lob a missile into a neighborhood of a major city, your main objective will be to kill civilians regardless of professions of the opposite. The same is of course true for Hizbollah even though they are less covert about it.

The main difference is of course that Hisbollah is doing what is best for them. As past bombings aiming at civilians have shown, the winner is usually the side that wants to create or reenforce the perception of the other side as the deadly enemy. Just take a look at WW2. The allied bombing of Germany was started with the explicit goal of killing civilians in order to weaken morale among soldiers at the front. However, it achieved the opposite because rather than convincing German soldiers that they were fighting a war in which there was nothing to win, they now had a new cause - to revenge the death of their families. The ironic thing is that the allies could have known about the effect of civilian casualties on troop morale - after all the German bombing of England enhanced English morale rather than breaking English spirits.

To come back to Israel's bombing of Lebanon, the only thing that will be achieved - thanks to civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure - is a strengthening of Hisbollah (itself a child of another invasion by Israel) and other extremist forces.

Same will happen in Lebanon (actually is happening right at this second). You might not care but most people who lost their homes will feel the need to act.

You have got to be kidding me? You have passed judgement on the entire arab race based on your visit(s) to Kuwait? You end up dead for commiting adultry? Ya maybe if you live in the mountains among the desert people, but most people live in suburban areas and have internet access, satallite tv, and spend their time shopping, going to coffee shops, and visiting with friends.

Not exactly. 60 years of reconstruction and international cooperation 'worked'.
