We just received a letter from Nebraska Service Center in response to our I-751 Petition to Remove the Conditions of Residence. We sent the Petition to Nebraska Service Center on time and of course it took 3 months to get a response letter.

The letter stated they would extend my wife's Conditional Visa an additional year because there is an 8-month delay in processing cases to remove the conditions.

Is the IMBRA stuff delaying everyone or just those in process of I-129F petitions?

This is crazy!

Actually, as frustrating as it may appear, 12 months to process is within the normal guidelines.

Wow, I didn't realize removing conditions took so long. Will they send another conditional green card with a revised expiry date or is the letter they sent you supposed to be sufficient proof of legal status??

HI! Hm,thats really weard that they have sent the NOA letter only in a 3 month to you, never heard about something like that I usually doesent take so long to receive an NOA letter. Did you file all the sufficient documents, how is your file look ?...anyways ,it might not depend on this ,but still weard.I have received my NOA in a week after filing the I-751 and in a one more week a yellow colour letter which stated to Attach the Original conditional Card to the bottom of the letter and to mail it back to them. Filed the I-751 on January,2006 ,got Approval letter dated with June ,05,2006 ,Ifopass appointment conducted on June 23,2006 and the Physical Green Card arrived on June 28,2006. Everything was filed with the Nebraska Service Center ,they seems working pretty fast. So dont worry,in your case you probably have 2 or 3 more month to wait. :star:

The NOA letter usually dated with the date when the have received the I-751 application on mail.

Check the date on your NOA letter,.If the date on the NOA letter is a 3 month later after you have filed your I-751 ,you might expect some delays with the processing ....,but not necesserally.

Did you file the I-751 via Express mail ? and did you mailed it to the right P.O Box?...

If you didnt mail it to the right P.O Box your file must have been gone to the wrong processing room and it took a while to find it and return it back to the right place or something....

My Best wishes. (F)

Sincerely.

I think it has nothing to do with IMBRA at all.

It seems totally dependent on the Service Center you go through. TSC was going very fast when I filed my I-751, but I'm sure the rate changes depending on number of applications and such.
