Hello People of VJ,

Went to USCIS office in Atlanta today with regards to the wrong data in my 10 yr. green card. The representative i talked to said I have to send my card to the USCIS Vermont by filing the I-90 form.

He checked my information in the computer and i asked him if i have to pay the replacement fee of $370 and he said "NO".

How will i know if he is right or not? I don't have the copy of the I-751 form i sent them.SHould i just send my card to the Vermont office? What about the stamp in my passport?

How will i get my passport stamped while waiting for the card replacement if i send it back?

Please i would appreciate any ideas you can share. Thanks so much.

You went to CIS to find out information and you are coming here to ask how you will know if he is right or not? #######?! I think the real question should be, why wouldn't I just listen to what he told me and follow instructions.

Carry a copy of the I-551 and the I-90 and be prepared to explain the situation if asked. "I-551 had an error (show copy of I-551) so I sent it back with an I-90 to get it corrected".
