Police Clearance

I had a question regards to Police Clearance. My hubby's case has not been approved yet, its at California Service Center still but he went ahead and got his Police Clearance from Dubai (just because he wanted to be prepared & not sure how long it would take). The Police Clearance says it will expire Feb 10th. I called National Visa Center today to ask a little more about it to see if it can still be used. I was told Police Clearance usually expire after a year but because they dont have his case yet, they could not give me more info. Anyone else deal with this before or know anymore about it?

Expiration dates on police reports carry no meaning for US immigration. It's the issue date they care about. The police report should be obtained as close to the interview as practical but not more than a year in advance.
