I believe pretty much all the people I've seen that adjusted from something other than K-1/K-3 get an interview.

Otherwise, I think it's random.

I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

touches on I-485 (AOS) and I-765 (EAD) today, and I had my biometrics yesterday. What does this mean, what does this mean? :wacko:

They updated your case because your biometrics was done. Those touches happened to my cases too after I did my biometrics. And since March 11, my cases had never been touched again.

AOS timeline

05 Feb 2010 - Sent AOS package

08 Feb 2010 - Package arrived in the lockbox (confirmed through USPS) - received date

20 Feb 2010 - NOA1 AOS/EAD (hard copies) - notice date for both is 16 Feb 2010

27 Feb 2010 - Biometrics A. Letter Arrived (schedule: March 19)

10 Mar 2010 - Successful Walk-in Biometrics (schedule was: March 19)

10-11 Mar 2010 - two touches on both cases after my walk-in Biometrics

26 Mar 2010 - Received the notice in the mail requesting to appear in an interview

15 Apr 2010 - EAD Card production ordered notice received via email

16 Apr 2010 - EAD touched again

21 Apr 2010 - EAD touched (post-decision activity)

22 Apr 2010 - EAD touched

24 Apr 2010 - EAD card in the mail

Good news is that those are the only touches we know what they mean. Its them linking your biometrics to your petition :D

My AOS and EAD have never been touched after biometric and remain in original steps. No update doesn't mean no process. USCIS teach you how to be patient.

True. I am more patient now than before. lol.

I submitted my AOS and just received an RFE asking to make some corrections. However, I just found that my father (who is my sponsor) did not make enough money to meet the requirements in his 2009 tax return. Can I submit a new AOS for a new sponsor with the RFE?? or should I keep my father as a sponsor (and make the corrections) and add a new sponsor as well?

Advice Please

I was wondering since i got my interview letter does that mean that i won't have RFE for anything? Most people get a 693 one but mine was submitted and as far as i know complete, so just trying to get my paperwork for them organized and not miss anything.... :huh:

Thx Markieboy, i have my fingers crossed for no RFEs and for the interview, :) kinda scary though, I heard some horrible stories how they intimidate people and i have a very short fuse :devil: My husband said I'll probably get arrested for improper comments if they gonna be mean to us :hehe:

Having an IO from hell is really hit-and-miss. Some are really a pain, while others are extremely pleasant. Have you checked the reviews for your local USCIS office? That should give you some idea what to expect.

If it gets that bad, remember to keep your cool and bite your tongue.

:ot: Yeah, I love House, even if he is obnoxious.
