Biometrics done today...anyone know how long it takes after getting bio done for the itnerview? Also EAD/AP is issued before interview right?

Not really...there have been a few in our January thread who either got their Green card approved without interview or had their interview before EAD/AP approval. The reason is that the EAD/AP and the Green card is processed at different offices. Hope this helps!

This is actually possible, you just have to fight them about it. It took me 2 trips, and arguing with the manager about their policies before they actually "tried" to put it through the system and it miraculously worked. I didn't have my name changed on my J-1 paperwork (although this is what the person had originally told me to do). There is a thread somewhere that has a link to the appropriate SSO policies which I printed out and brought with me. I also emailed the SSO and asked about it in advance, and brought the printed out email with me for backup.

It was a LOT of hassle, but it is possible.

Wow, I didn't think it's a pain in California to get your married name on the SSN. We just had my passport, I-94 and marriage certificate and the SSO accepted it.

Today I got the interview appointment letter in mail. That means not need RFE, right?

I turned in copy of vaccine supplement which was stamped in my medical record book, instead of I-693.

Do I need to get I-693? RFE comes in before Interview appointment letter or after?

Please advise, Thanks VJers.

Hey LadyC, maybe you'll soon see approval and notice of card production! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Unique, you might be one of the very lucky few to be approved for AOS with just the supplement. I think the worst that could happen is that you get RFE'd at the interview, for the I-693. If that happens, just get a civil surgeon to fill it out and stamp it, then send it in, and you're sorted. But don't quote me on that!

Btw, I believe that it says "bring the I-693 to the interview" on everyone's letter. But again, don't quote me. I'm just a member of the Waiting Club.

In any case, CONGRATS!!!

I suggest taking your question to the January filers forum, Unique! A lot of them have already completed their interviews, so they could probably help you. And some people who have gotten their interview letters in THIS forum will probably be on later to let you know if it says that "I-693" line in them.

As far as I have seen everyone get asked for the same thing, but you should have gotten an RFE for it if they required it from you. Congrats on your interview!

I had a very sad walk back from the mailbox...nothing again

The immigration took all documents in brown envelope when POE. All medical exam documents which have done in my country are included. I only need for vaccine supplement for MMR. Then I have done here. My interview date is 04/27.
