I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

It doesn't mean that they are not working on it, I got my interview letter but never any touches on my i-485 after biometrics. I think they are just slacking on the updates :angry:

Hi guys, my wife did her biometrics yesterday...took less than 20 mins i believe. Now, i keep getting case updates since last night which was the 1st one and just an hour or 2 ago got another one...weird...but they are all about a case transfer and something about the case being done in california for it to be processes faster? now...why everyone wants a transfer? please explain and what should i expect from this transfer?

Wife's Adjustment of Status,EAD and AP:

09/05/09: POE- New York City

10/23/09: Marriage

02/19/10: Mailed AOS,EAD and AP via FedEx to Chicago Lockbox

02/23/10: FedEx online tracking confirmed delivery of AOS,EAD and AP at Chicago Lockbox

03/02/10: Check cashed

03/05/10: Received NOA1 for I495, AP and EAD (says it was done 3/2/2010)

03/12/10: Received NOA2 Biometrics letter. Appointment date: 03/22/10 (letter notice date: 03/08/10)

03/17/10: Received email/text message stating that CASE SENT TO CSC ON 03/16/10

03/26/10: Received notice AP has been approved and a notification has been mailed to me.

03/31/10: Received notice for EAD production

04/02/10: Received AP

04/05/10: Received EAD card

Well, that's means that u are on ur way to get a green card faster and probably without the interview, it's good news, congrats on that!!! :dance:

Egh. What a pain.

We went to the SSN office to change my name on my SSN card.

Turns out I can't until I have my DHS document with my married name on it!

(Is that my EAD or my Green Card?)

Anyway, it's such a pain. I just want it changed so I can get things like a bank account or driver's licence!

That's either your EAD or Green Card. Some states accept the EAD in changing the SSN card.

I haven't changed the name on my SSN card to my new name. My husband and I were able to open a joint bank account in spite of that. We are in Santa Monica, CA.

All the best for you all February filers.

I don't know if I could call it ironic that AOS applicants living in CA rarely or don't get transferred to CSC at all. :blink:

Aww...thanks Camie! She's my very special gift...my ex couldn't have children so we adopted her as a newborn. I waited a VERY long time to be a mom and I've been blessed with such a wonderful daughter!!
