Good morning all, congratz to all the new transfers.. hopefully, soon, we all will be laying down smoking a cigar after all the touches :whistle:

We [my wife] got the signed/sealed I-693 on Saturday and we mail it priority the same day.. They should be getting it today/tomorrow and hopefully She will be getting some movement in her case. I need something soon as I am planning a surprise getaway for her [honeymoon, sort of speak] but want to make sure my traveling will not conflict with her case..

I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

received a letter saying my case has been transfered to the csc! that was on the 19th and then I received a touch today the 22nd :D. Hopefully thats a good thing.

Yeah its the Indian embassy...not the greatest at processing things. Supposedly I have to submit my old passport, then they will issue me a fresh passport, and mail the old passport back to me as well..."supposedly" Processing time 2-3 weeks, "supposedly"

Anyone know how long it taeks after getting Biometrics done, to receiving EAD card?

Right now its taking approximately 60ish days from your NOA to EAD, biometrics to EAD isn't a sure thing as some people have been approved the day after their biometrics, some a month after, based on how close their biometrics was to that average date. (from what i've seen in the Jan filers group anyway)

Wow really. I thought biometrics and EAD had some link. So the biometrics is for the greencard? Or from Advanced Parole?

They do have a link in that you need your biometrics done to get your EAD, and it appears that getting your biometrics done quicker may place you faster in line for interview, but the EAD's are processed at another facility, and are done on a timeline kind of like the K1's were, so its like...60ish days to get your EAD, but I've seen from the Jan spreadsheet that there were a couple people who got theirs a bit quicker, some slower, some got it 2 weeks after biometrics, some got it a month after, some got it a day after, but all around the same processing time. I think one of their fastest was around 40 some odd days, but I don't remember exactly.

They are also for your greencard yes, as far as I know both the EAD and greencard get your bio picture put on them.

You remember that one time when I was doing my K1 and was all like...yay! its going to be so fast! and then I ended up being one of the last 2 of my group to finally get an interview at the embassy? I have a feeling that will happen again. I have a friend filing this month (hopefully tomorrow) and I think it would be hilarious if she ends up with her interview before me.

(incase you can't tell, I'm not very optimistic about USCIS anymore :lol:)
