Back from doing my biometrics.

Here's what happened:

Got there around 8:30am to see if we could go in then, we could, so we did. Filled out the paper and handed it to the person when my number was called. Because I changed my name, I had to go sit in line to see an immigration officer.

About 20 minutes in, my husband had to leave because of his seminar. I was finally brought into the room with the officer and he was awesome. We joked about stuff and all he really did was ask to see my marriage certificate.

It was aaaaaaaaaaaall good and dandy till I met the biometrics lady from hell.

She was just ugh. She probably hadn't had her morning coffee yet. We go to do my fingerprints and she's complaining and complaining about how I'm too tense, my fingers are too dry, etc etc. Well I'm sorry, it's hard not being tense when I have my arm straight and I'm leaning over!

She kept going on and on about how because a few of my fingerprints arent clear that they might get rejected, yadda yadda. She really, really needed her morning coffee.

The photo was easier, though she got snippy when I heard "hair" as "head". I'm sorry that your spanish accent was a bit hard to hear through! She just all n all really ticked me off.

It all took about an hour.

Wandered around the area till about 11:30 and almost fell asleep at Starbucks

Went to have Pho for lunch, which was the best part.

It was pretty much all good, except that biometrics lady.

Sorry you got a bad one, Rhiannercakes. I hate mean people. I sound like a bumper sticker. But it's so true, mean people suck.

Btw, I loooove pho. Love it!

 I still remember my first trip into one of the asian restaurants down here and seeing all the hispanic workers. It was odd to me because in Canada a Chinese restaurant is run by Chinese people! (made me feel like I was being racist though which made me feel really bad).

Omg Cammie you know that strawberry stand up here near the corner? Wes bought me some today (he doesn't like berries) and they are like...massive, and sooooooo yummy. I love CA produce.

CA produce is the best!

Housing may be a bit pricy, but the food prices on alot of things really balance it out.

Hello, fellow Feb. filers! Long time no see! B-) Just wanted to update you on our case... We finally sent the RFE documents on Mar.16, and today we received an e-mail from USCIS stating that our case has resumed. Hopefully no more RFEs though...

AOS and EAD were touched today, probably because of biometrics.

Oh yes, I forgot to add one thing about the lady from hell.

She QUESTIONED my eye colour.

I put down blue, she's like "they're not blue."

I said, "Yes, they are."

She said they looked brownish, but my eyes are OBVIOUSLY blue. There's a ring around the pupil that's brown, but the majority is blue.

Ugh. I wonder if she just wants to piss people off.

I almost feel like reporting her, if I could.
