Ahhhh . . . layer dip. I love it. Oh, now I wanna go home and make some. How about this gorgeous weather today?!!

YAY!! Now you get to join the rest of us in that hike to the post. Well, hike if like me, the post is located down two sets of stairs and by the manager's office. By the pool. In another time zone.

Only down one set, and but it is across the building out by the street lol.

I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

We finally received my biometrics appointment letter. We'll try to walk in tomorrow, though the appointment date is April 8. Wish us luck!!! :)

I-130 for mom

08/04/2014 mailed the I-130 petition via USPS riority mail

08/06/2014 USCIS received the papers and routed to Nebraska Service Center (NSC) for processing

08/08/2014 received NOA in the mail

08/11/2014 checks have been cleared

08/28/2014 received approval notice in the mail. Petition was approved on 08/26/14

09/03/2014 NCS shipped the approved case to the Department of State for visa processing

I-130 for dad

08/04/2014 mailed the I-130 petition via USPS priority mail

08/06/2014 USCIS received the papers and routed to Nebraska Service Center for processing

08/08/2014 received NOA in the mail 08/11/2014 checks have been cleared

08/29/2014 received RFE letter in the mail

09/05/2014 sent documents with RFE letter to Nebraska Service Center via USPS priority mail

09/07/2014 RFE packet was delivered

09/08/2014 USCIS received the RFE documents

09/17/2014 notified thru text that the petition was approved

Completed walk in bio today, no issues at all the place was empty walked in at around 12.30 noon and we were out within 15 minutes. original appt date was 03/23

Also, i am confused that i received a msg yesterday for case update, and when i checked online it showed an RFE for my I485, for last 2 days i have been waiting to get the RFE letter, but yesterday received BIO letter so finished walk in today.

will wait for couple of days to check if RFE letter shows up

Had received RFE on 03/11, it was for a complete medical. We just decided to do a new medical for $145 in SAN JOSE, CA. we want to just get it over with.

Unfortunately i could not be there with my wife to finish all this formalities. I had to rush to india urgently, my father passed away on the 11th.

Life is never fair but we have to learn to live with it..

It's less than 4 weeks to my AOS interview... I don't think the EAD or AP will make it before then, which sucks. At least it'll be all over soon!

I am very sorry for your loss.

Well, I tried walk-in at Detroit this morning around 9am. Security was not a problem. I went into the Biometric room. There were about 10 people in the room. There was a reception woman sitting there. I showeed my letter and ID and she asked me,

"why you are here? Your appointment date is March 31."

I told her,

"I have a business trip on that day and I will be out of town."

She said,

"Well, then you need to re-schedule your appointment. You are not supposed to come here today."

I was thinking

"Oh, nooooo. Did I waste of my time to drive an hour to come here?" :crying::wacko:

After the seconds, she said to me,

"Fill out this form and wait. If there are no lines here, you could try but there is no guarante."

So, I filled out the form and waited. I was going to wait for a while but about 10 minutes after she called me again and she told me to wait in line. :thumbs:

Thank god, I was able to take bio!!

She was not really nice and she did not smile to me at all but she gave me a chance to take bio.

So I did!!! :dance:

It only took me about 7 minutes to finish my bio and picture taken.

I left the building around 9:30 am.

I think there were about 10 people at 9 am appointment and after everyone is finished, I was able to take it.

It really depends on the person who handle. If you meet in the nice person, you can, if you meet in the mean person, you can not.

It worth trying if you live not far from the office.
