Opened mail today to see.... INTERVIEW letter for I-485!!! Whoopie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Interview is 20th April... :o) know this is a good thing even though not entirely sure exactly what this means for my EAD... will i get that before then? or have i gotta wait til after?

DYING to get to work... (have a job lined up so just waiting until EAD comes through...getting very impatient!) Though im thinking doing my biometrics early def speeded things up as i wasnt due to have them until 19th march...

L :thumbs::dance::thumbs:

Congrats on your Interview date

The worst is every time someone else gets their interview letter (congrats lirwin! If you do get your EAD before the interiview it will probably be for like a week or 2 and you have to give it up at the interivew, so you're more likely to get the stamp or whatever at the interivew) which I just stole the mail key from the roomy, no letter for me yet lol.

And I love those people too, obviously we did something wrong which is why we get an interview  I seriously peaked at Santa Ana and on VJ there is no record of a transfer EVER. Theres a bunch of other area's in CA like that too I can only imagine that the cause is like I said, a lot of people here illegally trying to adjust to stay.

I went to Sally beauty today and got an acrylic kit, going to try to do my nails on my own seeing as I can't afford to get them done while I'm not working. My nails are nice but very weak and I break them by doing the stupidest little things, like doing up a zipper, or today - undoing my purse (which is only held together with one of those magnetic clasps, so its not like its hard). Going to try to do them tomorrow while Wes is at work, hoping they turn out good!

Danu I hope your nails turns out great. I live in the nail salon so I know how you feel

Good morning All.. It is a wonderful, rainy and dark day here in New York  and we are as always hopeful to end this waiting and unresponsive period..

I got a RFE for my I-693 [i was expecting it so it didn't get my surprise] I called many CS in the New York are and found a bunch of thieves, mischievous and crooks offices.. changing from $180 - $460[i almost ####### in my pants when I heard $400+ (my goodness :wow: )] But anyway.. finally found this office and since the first ring the receptionist was a sweetheart. She clearly advised me of what the office process is..

$110 for the doctor visit.. point blank and no buts.. then she added, $30 for the lab work and if you need any additional immunization we will sent you to a free clinic [FREE? Nothing is free in America !!!]

So, I made an appointment and took my wife to see the CS.. We got there, receptionist was as nice as she was on the phone and she when over the pre and all the requirements from the USCIS with us. Unfortunately my wife did not have the TB report with her so we needed to do another one but it was at no charge [included in our $110]. We had all the lab work done [she did it in Brazil] but it was not in English, so they recommended to do it again to avoid any additional RFE [since she was so nice and I wanted to avoid any additional RFE I agree].

Finally we are seating with the CS, a very nice older gentlemen [From Pakistan I believe] who guide us AGAIN through the process and what the USCIS is looking for.. My wife had everything done with the exception of one vaccine so he gave us a prescription receipt and a free vaccine.. we visited the office this morning and they were so "nice" [in NY? ] that mi wife got 3 shoots today and now her vaccination chart is uptoday beyond USCIS requirements [all for free]

:ot2: to bottom line is..

One of the most RFE issued are due to the I-693 [please everyone, correct me if I'm wrong].. according to the guidelines, if you have completed all the requirements within a year of filing you are not "obligated" to have a signed I-693 from a CS.. but this brings a lot of other issues and even RFE.. My wife had all the vaccinations ready, done according to the requirements in Brazil.. we send our AOS and I was very detail "quoting" the requirements from the USCIS, attached copies of all the records, X rates, Lab Exams, Vaccination Worksheet, GNY and everything I could thing off will/may create a RFE.. Didn't work..

Last Saturday I visited a CS and he clearly told me.. all your requirements in Brazil were done, but not all the requirements HERE [according to the Health Department] she was missing one vaccine but ended to get 3 in the clinic..

My Suggestion, visit a CS and avoid any possible RFEs..

The security guards at the door were very helpfull (i was ready to fight after Cammie's experience :bonk: ) hehe but they were nice and my hubby was laughing that one of them totaly and shamelessly checked me out

Well, the fingerprint people told me to wait for an interview letter in the mail and sent me on my way - that's it, now back to the waiting :o

Aw man, so you're saying Californian residents usually get interviews because of all the illegals?

What a bummer.

I still hope for a CSC transfer.

The online tracking have been never touched after 03/04/10. :(

I am worrying about that. What are they doing? Come on... :o

Getting "touched" doesn't really help...trust me. I've been touched countless number of times with no result. However, others who have not been touched received approvals. I'm actually hoping for no touches. I got one today :(
