I'd love to try an early walk in, but the USCIS site says Philadelphia is Appointment only. Should I try anyway?

Also, when do RFE's get issued? I'd hate to think they'd wait till after my Bio appointment to issue me the I864 RFE.. that'd be a waste of time.

I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing all USCIS offices are really by appointment only. Exceptions being emergencies and military personnel. Many people have attempted walk-ins, in offices known to be appointment only, and have been successful.

I doesn't hurt, I suppose, if you're near an ASC office.

Also, when do RFE's get issued? I'd hate to think they'd wait till after my Bio appointment to issue me the I864 RFE.. that'd be a waste of time.

RFEs can be issued at any time of the process, from what I hear. Having a biometrics appointment completed doesn't exclude the possibility of an RFE issuance.

Are you expecting an RFE for your I-864?

Oh, I see. Yeah, you'll definitely be issued an RFE for the missing I-864. However, it will not be a complete waste of time, only a small delay. In the meantime, you can prepare your I-864 with its supporting documents. You'll have it ready to send with the RFE when it arrives. :yes:

Howdy all...didn't think I'd make it online today but just had to come share our news!

We attempted a walk-in here in San Antonio and it was successful!! So, biometrics is done 13 days early! :dance:

And if that wasn't enough good news....just got online and had an email from USCIS .... We got transferred to CSC yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!! YYEEEHHHAAWWW!!! :dance: Needless to say I screamed and scared not only my hubby and daughter but our cats too... :lol::blush:

Congrats to those who were also successful with their walk-ins! It's such a relief to have that done already!

I think its because its one of the states with a lot of illegal immigrants in it. Theres a lot of people who try to adjust from other ways of entering the country, and as such all of us end up with an interview so they can't say they are picking on any specific group or type of application for further scruteny. *shrug*

Cammie, the worst problem is I dont have a mail key yet, so I have to rely on our roommate to go check the mail. If it was me I would be checking it compulsively every day!
