I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

Any negative ramifications of trying a walk-in other than getting turned away? About how long after biometrics is the card coming? (wanting that SS number for tax filing)

No real negatives other than having to come back. It takes about 20 days according to the timeline chart after your biometrics to get approved, but thats also based on the typical length of 28 days between the NOA1 and biometrics. The average time to get the EAD right now is 64 days from your NOA1.

Yeah, we're close enough to try a walk-in. If it fails, then we'll just go to Starbucks with our lips dragging, then home. :lol:

Your local office is in San Antonio too isn't it? If you don't mind, would you mind sharing what information you get when you call tomorrow? We're still thinking of just sticking with our appointment because it would be too far to go and take the chance of being turned away. If we know for sure they do walk-in's and when that would be a great deal of help!!

Cammie, if you're going to try to do a walk in get there early. I had an 8 am appointment, I was one of the first 6 people in the building and once I finished it looked like there were more people there.

My wife just received 3 NOAs from USCIS. Very happy we're able to track our MSC receipt numbers online. We're anxiously awaiting the biometrics appointment letter. :yes:

10 Mar 2010 - Successful Walk-in Biometrics (schedule was: March 19)

10-11 Mar 2010 - two touches on both cases after my walk-in Biometrics
