My wife and I are about to file for our AOS, but running into a little of a roadblock.

My wife came on K1 visa and according to instructions we rec'd, she do not need another medical screening if done within a year. but i have read different blogs some saying yes and others saying no. are we still required to file I-693?

furthermore, almost each document requires passport pics (485,131,765). Is this true or are we required to send (two) 2"x2" photos?

the Guide posted here is outdated (2006) and just want to make sure of all documents needed to file for AOS.

any help from the forum would be greatly appreciated.

Received all three hard copies [NOA1] for AOS, EAD and AP this past saturday. Date on Notice 02/23/10...

Now waiting for biometric appointment letter.

Am I in the right track?

I send Three [3] submissions in the same envelop, one for the AOS, one for the 131 and one for the 765. each one had its own cover letter, duplicated copies and photos... even if they required one copy and found duplicates in the submission, they can always trash the copies but if they need something will cost us more time to supply and bring us back to speed. Just a thought.

I certainly hope so -- with a lot of luck this week, more likely next week. I'll be anxious to check the mail every day though

That usually depends on the USCIS office you will be going to. Some on here have been able to do a walk-in with no issues while others haven't been able to get in. If your local office isn't too far away, maybe you could stop by and ask them?
