Good day! Today we received an email from USCIS!

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On September 7, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I got another touch for my AOS today... still under intial review and it says from CSC it has been transferred to a local USCIS office. Oh God... it's taking forever!!! It has already been 7 months! Way out of the processing time... How about those people who have the same timeline as mine? Do you have any updates regarding your application???

Did you contact your senator or called the USCIS for a service request?? 2 weeks ago the IO made a service request for us and we also contacted our senator. I think that will help make the process go faster.

Silly question but I have no idea... how will I know who to contact for a senator in my state? Is there a specific website to search for? I have been trying to google some names under the state where I am now but I just want to be sure I will be calling the correct one who can really help me with the process rather than just let it sit on the desk for nothing too.....

Any senator in your state will do.. Even congressman (I think).. But be sure to check their website first. You have to submit some documents to them before they can help you with your case.

Our timeline is similar... touches on 8/5 and 8/6 then nothing. I called USCIS on 9/2 and they sent a service request to the CSC. On 9/9 (yesterday) I received an email saying that my case status had changed to "Decision". The wording of the email is odd (see below) so I don't know whether my GC is accepted or denied... I guess I wait for the mailed letter or the next email?

On September 9, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should

be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our

customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our

current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Ok. Thanks for the info. Anyway, I just called USCIS and they made a service request for my application. Hope everything will be fine and I get approval soon. Hope you'll have a great wekend ahead! Will update very soon I hope...

Finally our welcome letter came through and our Green Card has been approved. Yay! 7 months to the day since it was sent (interestingly, USCIS lists the priority date based on the I-797 not the day it arrived at the Chicago lockbox). Seems like the odd email I got on Friday was an approval after all... what a relief! Good luck to all Feb-ers still waiting, hopefully y'alls green cards will come through soon.

We received my approval notice and welcome letter together with the greencard today!Thank God!!!

I can't believe it! It was only last Friday 09/10/2010 that I called the customer care for USCIS to file a service request for my AOS application. After the weekend, came Monday, 09/13/2010, WE GOT APPROVED!!! Thank you so much God!!!! It really did help calling the customer care.... So for those of you who are still waiting for approval, go grab your phone asap then make a service request stat!!!

Hi All...I need some help. Today I recieved a status change saying: Initial Review

On September 14, 2010, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

My case was transferred to CSC in March and then it was sent to a local office. Now it was sent to NBC. Does anyone knows what this means?

Just try to call them and inquire about your case. If you are way beyond the processing time they will file a service request for you. I got that email too twice maybe a week ago. If you will look at my timeline, I got transferred to CSC March 9.... So I inquired about the status, and 2 days after, I got approved. The agent told me an officer from the local USCIS office where my jurisdiction is will review my papers... But my approval letter was from CSC. So it wasn't transferred at all....

Just try to ask..... It wont hurt anyway...

Just try to call them and inquire about your case. If you are way beyond the processing time they will file a service request for you. I got that email too twice maybe a week ago. I have finally received the following from USCIS:

And my congressperson helper person emailed me saying that I will receive an approval letter within 7 days and the card will come in 30 days! yippee! good luck to those who are still waiting!!!
